Pintxo Wine Bar & Tapas — Restaurant in City of Canandaigua

Went last night for date night, after wanting to try this place for a few months and it did not disappoint. Ambiance in the restaurant was perfect for a nice intimate meal, building itself is on the smaller side but doesn’t feel cramped, owners did a great job with decor. Staff was extremely friendly, polite, and insanely knowledgeable on every item on their menu. Ordered several items off the menu, everything was 10/10 from presentation to taste, every dish was thought out and well composed. Best charcuterie board I’ve had in quite a long time. Wine menu is unique, expansive but not overwhelming (Spanish wines only, staff was great with recommendations, the albariño they had by the glass was outstanding). Plus they have a happy hour! I wish I could give this place 10 stars. It’s was so incredible. Came from PA to stay at the lake house and this restaurant was recommended to me by a good friend and I am SO happy we visited. The atmosphere is great, the food is mouth watering, the wine is fantastic but what really pulled it together was the staff!!

I wish I could remember the waitresses name but she made it feel like we were going over a friends house for wine and tapas and she was so helpful when it came to wine selection. It was so intimate and friendly and I cannot express how fantastic this place is. If you’re in the area I HIGHLY recommend going here.

It’s difficult to capture in words the pleasure of dining at Pintxo. The food, drink, atmosphere and service were all first class. Beginning with the warm greeting at the door by our server, Trish, we were immediately transported to as enjoyable a dining experience as our crew of 6 has ever experienced. We shared eight different dishes from the small but well curated menu. All offerings were delicious, with the bread, anchovies on brioche, mushroom flan and goat cheese/caramelized onion tosta among the standouts. The Basque cheesecake was a perfect closing to a wonderful meal. With all we ate and drank, and the high quality of the food and service, the final bill was quite reasonable.
