I recently ordered two ice cream cakes for my son's 1st birthday party, placing the order a few days in advance. I sent someone to pick up the cakes on the day of the event, but unfortunately, only one cake was provided. Upon calling to resolve the issue, one of the staff members gave a half-hearted apology and immediately blamed the person picking up the cakes, claiming they failed to ask for two cakes. However, the issue was much more fundamental—only one cake had even been prepared, so the blame placed on the customer was entirely unwarranted.
The staff member's apology was insincere, and her response was both unprofessional and unhelpful. The situation seemed to stem from a basic misunderstanding of the order, which was simple and straightforward: two cakes, one name. It’s disappointing that such a small and clear request could be mishandled. While the original staff member who took the order did apologize and mentioned she would escalate the issue to the manager, as many of us know, that often leads to no follow-through—and in this case, nothing was done to address the error.
It's unfortunate that a straightforward order could be overlooked, especially for such an important occasion. I would not recommend this business based on...
Read moreCarvel is my favorite ice cream. My parents used to take us every Sunday after church. Now, it's my kids' favorite ice cream too. However, I'll never go to this store, and I'll advise everyone I know not to go either. The owner of this location fired a manager for refusing to serve a customer who not only wasn't wearing a mask, as per state mandate, but was also openly coughing in the store. This manager was FIRED for trying to protect himself, other customers, and fellow employees. If I could give 0 stars I would as I feel like 1-star is too generous. Just imagine the other ways in which the owner is willing to jeopardize the health and safety of their customers. What other health and safety regulations are disregarded just so they can make a buck? Kudos to the manager for trying to keep everyone safe and speaking up, and shame...
Read moreFirst time visiting. Blue shirt attendant asked “what I want” responded twice “2 kids cone one vainilla and the other chocolate”. Without paying attention and very rude gave me the 2 big cones. At the cashier charged me for 2 small cones. When I asked her why... she told me I ordered 2 small cones, I said twice 2 kids cones. Is not about the misunderstanding but she immediately asked me to return all the cones with a very bad attitude, take them off very rude from my hands and dumped it on trash can, then never showed up again to the store front. No empathy with costumer, careless service. The others employees looked to her like “really girl”. Tsss I didn’t say anything else because I was with my mom and she’s a senior who gets...
