The proprietor (an elder white woman wearing glasses) was incredibly condescending and rude even as I was buying an expensive item. I had politely asked for a gift receipt as it was a wedding present. Her tone and facial expressions were demeaning. I let it slide because I thought she had a disability. In the back of the door there was an open door to some second floor or similar, hanging wide open. We peaked in, and an employee chargers across the store to yell âTHATS VERY PRIVATE DO NOT GO INâ
Maybe if it was so private why was the door open? Made the whole experience very negative, what do they have behind that antique? Maybe the most secret antiques? The ark of the covenent? A house for below $5.5m on the upper west side? A body?
