If i could give 0 stars i would. This had to be the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Upon arriving there was no one at the hostess stand. We flagged down a server in the bar section which we asked to clear a table for our party of four to sit at. We were greeted and seated by our server Israel. We were finally able to flag our server down and order drinks after 10 minutes. Another 15-20 min goes on and we receive our drinks and our server runs off before we could ask for straws or ask to order food. Another 10 minutes go by and we flag down our server and ask for straws. Another 15 minutes goes by and we have to flag him down again just for him to tell us they don’t have any bar straws. But we’d like to order; we ask for a shareable and the jambalaya with a few modifications. Our server reappears to tell us they’re out of shareable dough and that he’d charge us for two mini pizzas instead, walked off again before even receiving a response. My fiancé had to get up and request we be charged for a shareable pizza instead of two minis because it is the restaurants fault you’re out of something. After about 45 minutes the pizzas arrive, we wait another 30 min for the pasta to arrive. It wasn’t right, we asked for our server and he looked at us as if we did NOT tell him our food modifications. He proceeded to open his booklet and read the order as if it was going to be different. We sent it back. Another 30 minutes goes by the food is still not out. We ask our server for an update and it now seems like we are bothering him. The jambalaya comes out, the taste is horrible. We still want to give this place and chance and order dessert. Waiting another 30 minutes, nothing. We’ve now asked for a manager, we get Bob (i think that’s his name). We explain how unpleasant our entire experience has been from our server to our food to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant and he gives us a blank stare as if he has no idea what we are saying. As we are complaining to Bob our dessert STILL has not come out. He runs to the back, grabs them….they are cold and half done.

Read moreWe visited this BJ's on Saturday (11/16/19) for their happy hour specials on drink and appetizers. However, their happy hour isn't available on Saturdays. We didn't know that it wasn't offered when we went. The happy hour specials are also only available in the bar seating area. Our server was kind enough to still give us the special menu even though we were sitting outside the bar. Our server didn't mention to us that the happy hour specials weren't being offered at the time we went. We ordered off the menu, and finished our drinks and appetizers. When going to pay, only then did the our server tell us it wasn't available on Saturday AFTER we 1. asked for the happy hour menu and 2. ordered items only off that menu.
He said he'd have to charge us the full price since it wasn't happy hour. We were extremely alarmed at this because we had no idea! He said he tried to add the discount but the system wouldn't let him. We asked for the manager, I didn't get his name. He was extremely unsympathetic and stoic. He just told us there's nothing he could do. I even suggest to add random menu items to our bill and replace the ones we ordered to make the bill LOOK like the cheaper price. He didn't understand 🤦♂️so they took 25% two menu items, a discount of $3 off.
I appreciate the discount nonetheless but none of this would have happened if our host and server told us it WAS NOT available instead they just placed our orders like nothing was wrong. I'm very upset by this...
Read moreThis rating is not for their food or drinks. This is directed towards the person in charge at the time of my visit. It was quick visit for my party of 3 during happy hour at the bar area. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but she did make a mistake on a couple of our drinks with pricing. It should have been happy hour pricing and not the regular price. We brought it to the attention of our server and she apologized and told us that she would fix it. When she came back, she told us that she was unable to change the receipt and that she would instead "comp" us the drinks for the mistake that was made. We just wanted to pay happy hour prices and were not looking to be "comped". After talking to our server about the situation for a bit, we found out that our drinks would be coming out of our servers pay because she made the mistake. After more questioning our server furthur, we were told that the GM in charge would not make the changes to our bill and that she had to cover it. Is that even legal? Anyways, a big Boooo to the GM in charge that expect his employees to be perfect or else they will pay. Food and drinks and along with their service were fine! The man in charge that doesn't want to bother with fixing my bill to reflect what I should be paying and possibly violating some labor laws, zero stars!
