Apart from Cornell dairy bar, this is one of my most favorite local ice cream shops in Ithaca! My experience at Purity was average and kinda lost faith in humanity after several ppl recommended Sweet Melissa’s ice cream. But this place again restored my faith in local ice cream shops. Went twice within a week, loved both flavors I tried (coconut almond fudge and berries jubilee). The place is so nice and the staff are great. Helped my friend with their choice of vegan icecream, queried about their concern for cross contamination! So helpful and respectful to the customers! Came here because the reviews are so good, and yes the ice cream is delicious. But the service was some of the worst I’ve experienced in my life, and I’m not over exaggerating. 3 young people behind the counter just staring at us. Not a word. We then spoke up to order, they plopped the ice cream cup down on the counter, and still not a word. No eye contact, no thank you, not a word. I was confused. This place is absolutely amazing! Where should I start!! Ok first of all they were closed but they opened the doors for us to come in and order!!! My son has growing pains and his knees were killing him but he had to make it there for the ice cream that we heard was the best!!! So thank you very much for serving him his favorite ice cream!!
