lovely selection and good prices. unfortunately the staff accused me of stealing (i had already had purchased a bunch of stuff right before this too). i had been holding a coat to ask the price and turned the corner to the back half of the store and was looking at some paintings and dolls. the staff chased out after my two friends who left saying she thought i walked out with the coat when i never left the store. i ended up purchasing the coat but i didn’t know that she followed my friends out to accuse me, had i known that i wouldn’t have spent any money there. when my friends called her out on accusing me of theft she denied it and then finally apologized after my friend reiterated that she ran out after them to accuse me. the store has security cameras and she should have been keeping better eye on her store if she was that worried. i don’t know why she thought i would steal something especially with a very distinct appearance (as well as already buying a ton of things right before that). it’s a shame because the store had amazing things and i really wanted to...

A wonderful hole-in-the-wall antique shop in the dewitt mall that has an incredible variety of items in a small space. I was particularly drawn to the variety of jewelry behind the glass case. (I'm assuming the owner) was very accommodating while I searched through multiple trays to pick out a few select Christmas gifts. My experience in Pastimes was one of absolute splendor and magic. This shop just hit a spot in my soul and I'd imagine it does that for many.

So many eclectic treasures and absolutely fair prices, if not low, prices. If you can't find something in here that sparks joy or wonder then imo you aren't paying attn.
