My partner and I went to the ithaca tacobell after work for dinner. When we got there we could see that there was already several people waiting and several people just standing at a register in plain view of staff trying to place an order but with no one helping them. We decided to use the kiosks to order instead of waiting for someone. We ordered 2 meals, a grilled cheese steak burrito combo for me and a box for him that had a chalupa, soft taco and 5layer burrito with nacho fries. Well we were ordering the elderly women next to us was struggling with the kiosk so much but when she tried to flag someone to help her they ignored her so she ended up asking me and my partner to help her. We waited for an hour for our food but never heard our names called the whole time we were there, so my partner had to go to the counter and ask about our meals. We were told they were 'stolen' even tho our name was never called. When our order was finally made they shoved all of our food into one box.. thats 2 burritos 2 tacos a chalupa fries and nacho cheese cup into one small box... we went to our car and tried to make sure everything was there and noticed one of his items was made incorrectly so he went back to get it made right. He went in and stood at the counter with staff staring at him for 5 mins with out anyone helping him before calling out asking for someone. When we got home and actually sat down to eat we noticed that all of our food was made incorrectly. I had ordered my burrito with out chipotle sauce and add seasoned potatoes (which i paid extra for) but the sauce was still on it and there was no potatoes on my burrito. He had added beans to his chalupa and his taco and had the lettuce removed from his order, we noticed at the store the taco was made incorrect because the lettuce was still on it. this is the one he went in and asked them to remake cuz we caught it before we left. He explained to them that the taco was suppose to be made with out lettuce add beans but when we got home it still had lettuce, it also had no meat on it... just means lettuce and cheese. they still put lettuce on his chalupa too. so our whole order was wrong even after trying to fix the item we caught before driving home... We went to taco bell tonight after some grocery shopping and the drive thru line stretched out of the parking lot so we figured we would go inside until the sign on the door informed us the inside was closed for a private party. Odd because the chairs were already on top of the tables and this was at least an hour before the inside was supposed to close but things happen, right? We get in line. While we wait for an abnormally amount of time(you would think when all the workers attention can be focused on drive thru only they would be able to move faster, not slower?) to move one car spot we watch this employee inside. She just sat there playing on her phone and pointing periodically at the crazy length of their drive thru line while saying something to the workers who were actually working. At some point enough time had gone by where this definitely was not your standard break and she just wasn't interested in helping her fellow co-workers. At some point we thought about leaving but once you have committed that much time it is hard to cut your losses and just move on like any sane person would. Anyways, we finally ordered and the most ridiculous part of this experience was while I was paying my wife asked the lady when the private party was ...startled by being put on the spot she searched for an answer, said "what?..." And when my wife asked again she said " ummm, it's not till tomorrow..." BTW, from start to finish I'd say 45 mins went by when all said and done and guess what, that worker never did anything more than leave her chair and look out the window at how long the line was before promptly returning to her seat and attention back to her phone. Read moreDowngrading my review further. It's just never a good experience anymore. They forgot my quesadilla, so my husband had to go back through the drive thru. It was extra thin, hardly any filling and cut like someone did it blindfolded. Then I had 2 cheesy rollups. The first one literally had maybe a teaspoon of cheese, the second one maybe two? it was pretty much like eating plain flour tortillas. Then the below issue didn't get resolved for 1 1/2 months. I'm so done with this place.
First review: I placed an order online to pick up inside. I wanted a drink without ice but that wasn't an option on the website, so I decided to just order it at the counter when I went inside to pick up my food. I stood in front of the counter for about 5 minutes and was never acknowledged by any of the several employees. I finally got tired of waiting and checked the pick up spot for my food and took it to go home. When I got home I found that 3 of the items I paid for were not in the bag. I called the restaurant for a refund and was told I'd have to contact the website for the refund since I paid there. I put in my complaint 2xs on the website and still haven't heard back over 2 weeks later. Clearly Taco Bell is a crappy place to work if none of the employees care enough to acknowledge customers, and corporate can't seem to handle a simple refund request too. Definitely won't order online again as I have often had items missing from my order that I paid for. It shouldn't be that hard to get a refund. So this review is for Taco Bell as a whole.
