This is a long awaited review but my experience w Kingston wine co was AMAZING. They recently introduced private tastings and we had the most lovely time with Sam during our tasting. She was super informative about the wines we were trying regions, backstories, etc and printed us out cute tasting cards to take notes on. She asked beforehand what kind of wines we like and did not disappoint. We had so much fun and would totally reccomend coming here for a private tasting with your friends, partners or coworkers - it’s pretty affordable considering private tastings in nyc are outrageously expensive. We did the food pairing in conjunction with the tasting and they do their parings with fletcher and Lu nextdoor. The food was soooo yummy! I wish I lived closer they have such good wines from producers I really like. Hoping to come back when I come back to Kingston!

Great wines with awesome descriptions! I’ve never been to a wine store in the Hudson Valley with so many unique options. This place is great and I always recommend my friends to check it out. They have so many great deals on wine that I find it hard to justify going to any other store.

Not a sweet wine of any kind in the house. Disappointing way of thinking about how wine needs to be. Cute place but that was unbelievable

This is a true gem of a wine store with character, panache and creativity in every nook and cranny. I love walking in to the store with Theolonius Monk playing in the background, one of the proprietors favorites. Owner Michael Drapkin is passionate about wine, wine growers and techniques and often invites you to try new discoveries right in the store. He seems to magically know if you want to be left alone to browse or would like some assistance . While there is a strong representation of French wines culled from his living and working in French vineyards Michael revels in grapes from anywhere with a strong penchant for sustainably raised and local. A small but beautifully curated selection of spirits is always a pleasure to review and purchase. Make sure to get on the mailing list or even better join the monthly wine club and get 2 bottles each month curated by Michael with beautiful descriptions and yummy food pairing...

I found this shop online during the pandemic and was completely satisfied with the level of service and selection.

When I planned a trip upstate I knew this had to be a stop. We went to collect supplies for New Year’s Eve and a man with very cool glasses (and overall style) assisted with picking out the most fantastic wines!

We actually back at the end of our trip to pick up a “supply” of the wines he selected and will order more once we run out.

I really appreciate the fact that there is a well curated selection of natural/organic and biodynamic wines available that are in a great price range and absolutely delicious. They also carry spirits.

I HIGHLY recommend this shop as a stop if you’re traveling or nearby. Excellent service and excellent...
