A friend and I were in the mood for some Latin food one night, and decided to go here. Well, first and last time honestly. The place was not busy at all (we actually went at an off time, so it wasn't a dinner rush) and we were seated right away. It took us a while to decide what we were going to order, and even though the place wasn't busy, the delay in ordering must have annoyed the waitress. What we couldn't figure out, because we have been to other Latin places, is why everything had to be ordered separately (with a separate charge), and although they had dinner specials, I didn't think a plate was worth the twenty plus dollars they cost. I ordered a half rack of ribs, with lobster tail (not actual lobster, langostine shrimp and way WAY overcooked) and 3 shrimp, and my friend ordered a t bone steak with 3 shrimp. We each ordered rice and beans with the plate. Once we placed our order, the waitress, who didn't write anything down (which is perfectly fine, IF you don't have to come back to the table twice to check how a steak was ordered (rare, medium rare, etc) brought toasted bread to the table, which was nice, but practically sliding it across the table isn't. The food arrived, and my friend, who had ordered a diet coke, ordered another, which never came (there was only one charge for the soda on the bill, but once again, the place was NOT busy). The food was warm, not hot, and overcooked. We had to ask for a refill on water. People started to come in, and we just asked for the check. One important note, this place also has like a hot service where people can make their own plates like a buffet, and that may be where they make all their money, cause they sure aren't making it with...
Read moreHorrible! Not even a one star. Un friendly & unprofessional. There with a friend, both of us ordered the grilled whole red snapper ($25.00ea), the fish was so salty and horribly seasoned, it was an insult to my taste buds. I asked for the manager, he kindly took the fish back in the kitchen to taste. He came back to tell us we were right, extremely salty. He was kind enough to offer to make something else for us, we declined and said we would finish the salad and pay for it, but we continued to nibble on the rice which was part of our dinner but on a seperate plate. As we sat there, no one even came by to offer us something on the house (such as: coffee and desert, something an intelligent retailer would have done) since they screwed up our dinner, and our evening out. Evenually someone brought over the bill and the idiot had the nerve to bill us for the rice, how tacky. I explained to him that i came for a dinner, not to eat rice. I will never ever step foot into that nasty place and neither should you, they have NO business sense or ettiquette, they should go back to the Bronx, not a nice place like New Rochelle, they don't even have the intelligence to speak when customers walk through...
Read moreToday was my last time at this restaurant. I usually order to go, today I was heading to the train station to head to work at 8:10am and I need to use the restroom . I opened the door and saw some ladies chatting and didn’t knowledge me at all so I went to use the restroom , I literally use it for 2 minutes and as I walked out the door one of the ladies yelled at me this is for “ customers only” I said pardon me ?? The waitress said again this is not a public restaurant it’s a private restaurant…. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, after being a customer for such a long time, but I was being treated this way, I spend money, and I am a customer, this isn’t a restaurant that you have to pay for a membership so she is obviously wrong, I tried contacting the owners of the place without luck nobody reach out to me, so I decided to post this because they didn’t just lost a customer. They just lost a lot of other people that I know sadly, one person can make you feel so terrible for no reason, I hope they give their employees better training on how to treat customers,...
