D'Bay Cafe, Inc — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

While searching for something different for dinner, came across D'Bay and realized that Jerk Chicken would really hit the spot. The reviews were good but had some questions about sides etc so I called the restaurant. The gentleman who picked up answered my questions and I really enjoyed talking with him. He told me what he had available (plenty of Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork, almost out of curry goat, enough for a small serving) and I placed my order with him. I drove over with my daughter, found there were two municipal lots on either end of the block he was on, so parking was easy. Ended up getting a large Jerk Chicken and a large Jerk Pork, both with rice n peas and mixed veg/cabbage and a small curry goat, with rice n peas and mix veg/cabbage. All the dishes also came with plantain. We also got a homemade sorrel juice, a homemade peach mango juice and two muffins (banana and carrot). The food was waiting there for us and the owner (the guy I spoke to on the phone) provided great customer service with a smile. I paid with cash ($58 for everything) and told him we would see him soon. The food was really tasty, with the large orders having enough for two meals. The banana muffin was good but the carrot muffin was really amazing. Overall a very good experience and we will definitely be back there again for more very tasty food. I recently had the pleasure of ordering at D'Bay, and I can't say enough about how wonderful the food is! I place an order for an event at work, we had the Brown Chicken Stew, Rice and Peas, Cod Fish, and Plantains, and each dish was simply outstanding.

The Brown Chicken Stew was rich and flavorful, the Rice and Peas perfectly seasoned, the Cod Fish was cooked to perfection, and the Plantains were a delightful complement to the meal. It was truly one of the best Caribbean meals I've ever had!

I also want to extend my gratitude to Leonard, the owner, who went above and beyond to assist me with a last-minute event for work. His quick response and willingness to help made all the difference. Catering Order: Ordered a spread for our church Mother's Day luncheon; jerk chicken, bbq chicken, curried chicken, fish cakes, coconut rice & beans, plantains & rasta pasta. Came with tasty sauces for the BBQ & Jerk. The jerk sauce was fire! The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! all of it...there was not one item that was not perfect and seasoned with love. The food was packaged neatly and professionally, labeled and the portions were plentiful. Everyone kept coming back for seconds & thirds. I am not a fan of curried chicken but after tasting yours prepared so well, I am a BIG FAN now! kudos to the chef. Many guests asked who catered the food because they were so impressed.
