Hotel NoMa was our hotel for our wedding, and it was an absolutely horrendous experience. We got ready here in the morning and had a large block of rooms (40+) for our wedding guests. Here were all of the main issues:||Communication was bad; they completely changed the hotel ownership from the Radisson New Rochelle to Hotel NoMa and didn't communicate at all, causing me and my guests to panic when the hotel we booked didn't appear to exist anymore. ||Extremely unaccommodating -- simple requests like getting an extra table in my bridal suite for getting ready were so complicated. Wake up calls were missed for some of my guests. They wanted to raise the nightly rate as I added MORE rooms to my hotel block. They would not comp the parking expense for us (the Residence Inn around the block was willing to give free parking).||I arranged ahead of time for breakfast to be delivered to the bridal suite and cleaned up at specific times the morning of the wedding. The food arrived 20 mins late, which makes a big difference when running on a tight schedule. I (the bride) didn't get to eat breakfast before getting my hair and makeup done because of this. After that, they did not come to clean up the food even after we called to remind them. My bridesmaids and I had to frantically move everything to the hallway and corners of the room to clean up so that we could take photos and get dressed. The food sat in the room all day and was still there when we came back after the wedding.||Before the wedding, the hotel informed us that the restaurant/bar would be open until 2am, so we could go there after the wedding. When we tried to go, the bouncers rudely would not let me and my guests into the restaurant because of a dress code. We argued with them and they refused, while the bar was literally empty. We decided to take some drinks up to the bridal suite to hang out instead, and the staff threatened to call the police on us for noise. ||It is absolutely disgusting that this is how Hotel NoMa treats a couple and their guests on their wedding day. We brought in so much business to the hotel and they could not care less. If you are booking a New Rochelle wedding, I recommend blocking at the Residence Inn or any other hotel. Thanks Hotel NoMa for adding nothing but stress to my...

Read moreThis is mostly a review of the banquet hall downstairs and the staff for a wedding reception!||My wife and I recently got married at the Korean Presbyterian Church of Westchester (also in New Rochelle, very close by. Would HIGLY recommend for a wedding ceremony venue if you want to do it at a church. Super beautiful!) and we were blessed to find this venue for the reception as well.||Price: compared to most (if not all) other wedding venues, the price per person was more affordable. The hotel is also willing to work with you to figure a good budget. ||Space: The outside of the building isn't the most fancy/pretty but the banquet event space downstairs was great. We had about 190 guests (they can fit up to 200) and everyone was comfy and it was still enough to have a decent sized dance floor. I would maybe recommend about 150-175 people though. One REALLY cool thing is that they have projectors on the walls where you can put up pictures, gifs, images, backgrounds to help set the mood for the space. I do wish they had a few more lighting options for the room though. ||Food: the appetizers were delicious! we loved the chicken chorizo croquetas, steak crostini, and shrimp ceviche the most but they were all good. Then the dinner was done buffet style which is nice. The steak and salmon were both delicious but I liked the steak a little more. Guests also said that the food was delicious and liked the buffet style.||Service/Communication: BIG shouout to Kellyann (our point person leading up to the event and our Maitre D for the actual reception). She was very super helpful and good about communicating with us through the thousands of questions and requests that we had. (someone give her a raise/bonus!) The other hotel staff were also great on the day of.||Location: very convenient. Lots of parking on site. Also close to the New Rochelle Metro North Station. ||Room: My wife and I stayed there overnight and the room was good! Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable.||OVERALL: if you need a space to host a wedding reception or other event, I'd highly...
