*DISCLAIMER I have been there multiple times for years, but today they tried to finesse a party of 12 people with their handwritten, not so clear and misleading invoice. I am very disappointed with their service as we took our families who were visiting here for the 1st time.

Before you order, be VERY technical with how you order your chicken wings because they might try to overcharge and finesse you, based on our experience. To me, that is TERRIBLE server etiquette and customer service.

For example: If you want a total of 80 wings, make sure you specifically say 1 bucket of 50 wings and a triple (30 wings), THEN say the flavors you want. IF YOU DONT, they will try to finesse you and charge you more FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF WINGS. Our server charged us a double (20 wings) times 4, which is more expensive than getting a bucket and triple. Aren’t servers supposed to offer the best deal? Not our server. It made me question if she was trying to finesse customers or she doesn’t know her menu very well to SPECIFY and confirm as we were ordering. She charged us based on how we wanted the flavor of the things divided. Her hand written invoice was messy and not clear for customers to follow. Their system needs updating to a computerized POS machine.

Our total was $337.90 with the wings overcharge. You add tax and 15% of gratuity, which is $50.69 but hand written on the invoice showed $60.82 which is actually 18% but had 15% written 🤣. They wrote it WRONG on the invoice, tax wasn’t clearly stated, and their percentages and numbers weren’t adding up as we were reviewing the receipt. So we questioned it when we got up to the cashier to pay. Both our server and possibly the lead server/manager came up and cross checked the math and insisted that the 60.82 was for 18% even tho they wrote 15%. They didn’t apologize for the confusion or say anything to acknowledge or honor their mistake. Poor poor customer service. Terrible!

When we were finally gonna get rung up by another person, I was expressing my frustration. The cashier herself got confused with the written invoice to her, it WASNT clear and her totals were not adding up with what was stated on the messy written invoice. She was going to honor the 50 bucket and triple BUT the woman who seemed like the lead server/manager came up and said to the cashier “what are you doing? Come on, ring them up so this woman can leave.” — Seriously? How rude? Is this how you treat a customer?!

I’m glad the cashier at least apologize and agreed with what we were saying. I appreciated her service. The entire gratuity should go to her! On top of that, there was another customer who had an issue with their order. Sounds like there is a pattern with customers having complaints.

I must say, we had a nightmare of an experience today. I’m gonna think twice about coming back next time. I’m very disappointed...

Buzzy’s is a well established restaurant located along a well traveled stretch of Niagara Falls Blvd. in Niagara Falls. Ample off street parking is provided.

It is much more than a pizzeria as it offers a wide array of wings, sandwiches, salads and classic red sauce Italian food. Good beer list. Take out is available and on the evening of our visit business was brisk.

Inside dining tables were fully occupied by either diners or spent tableware and napkins. It was busy that night - a good sign. We opted to dine on the patio. And it was a beautiful evening. Service was friendly and efficient if a bit overworked. The staff really earned their keep on this night.

This review is limited to the pizza and wings that were consumed one particular evening.

The chicken wings, ordered medium and finished on the char grill (for an unspecified extra charge) were a disappointing mixed bag. They were served very “wet” as the sauce was pooled at the bottom of the basket. The sauce was a perfect medium and tasty and messy. Not a complaint, just an observation. (Side note: why is there an extra charge for finishing a food item to the customer’s liking? Does medium well steak cost more than medium rare? Is there an up-charge for a toasted roll?)

Unfortunately, the wings were only given a cursory trip to the char grill as there were barely any signs of charring. The waitress agreed with this observation and removed the up-charge. About half of the wings were very small and the rest were medium sized at best. And maybe the over saucing cooled them a bit because they were not very hot. They were served with a small packet of proprietary blue cheese dip which was excellent. But the wings were not accompanied by the customary side of celery-also disappointing.

The “New York Style pizza (ordered small-13”) was very good. Although it lacked the elastic “foldable” quality of a true NY style pizza the dough was delicious with a tasty crispy crust. The pizza had the optimal balance of sauce and toppings.

In summary Buzzy’s rates an overall 3 star. The service and the pizza very good. The wings size, tepid serving temperature and lack of accompanying celery, offset by the tasty sauce and blue cheese dip rate a tepid “fair.”

We were intrigued by the other menu offerings and will return...

This was from 2015 and I haven't been back since:

So I was just at Buzzy's this evening with my wife and sister and after years of ordering takeout I am no longer supporting this business.

I will start off by walking in. We were greeted but put in a back corner. Not that it was busy or anything. And then the server, Alicia seemed in a rush to take our orders not even a minute after sitting down.

While competent with our drinks we were asked again what we wanted after waiting 20 minutes submitting the first order. We ordered a half tray of pepperoni, double order of wings. Half of that order butter garlic and medium, crispy, and saucy.

Our wings were dry on both accounts and the pizza very meh.

Our server sat 20 feet away I guess counting her tips. Her back faced us the entire time. She checked in once. Telling us that's how we ordered them. Dry even though we said saucy twice.

After getting extra sauce for them they were only OK at best.

I'm not your Buzzy's fan boy here, so I'm not here to try and get something free. I am a pizza and wings fanatic however. This experience has left me sold that Buzzy's and its workers don't really care all that much about how they get the work done as long as you are out of their door. You can have a really lousy server but fantastic cooks in the kitchen but that wasn't the case tonight.

No worries here, there are better places who deserve your hard earned money for $38 and change. I had a hard time even parting with a tip which was not deserved at all. I have learned my lesson tonight and will no longer anticipate Buzzy's food. I will...

We stopped in because of the "NY Style Pizza" sign on the building. While the building is fairly clean, I was immediately put on edge by the older woman sitting behind the counter giving people dirty looks. We were taken to a table, where we sat for 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order. The table behind us came in after us and got their food long before we did. We asked for it to be brought out together, but our pizza, sub, and mozzarella sticks came out long before our wings. The fries with the sub were cold and the pizza was definitely NOT any NY style we've ever seen. It reminded us of Little Caesers Pizza - a lot of crust, drowning in sauce, very little cheese and toppings. We had specifically asked the waitress if it would be thin crust and she said yes, when what we got was almost as thick as a pan pizza. The sub, mozzarella sticks and wings were average. When we went to pay, the phone lines and credit card machine was down, so we had to go down the street to get cash and come back to pay - which I know is not their fault and the staff handled the high-stress event fairly well in spite for the older woman who continued to make snarky remarks to the staff about how they weren't doing anything right. We will not be back.

This is family owned business.Been in this location since the 70's and been handed down to the children. Entering this place, quickly approach by the hostess and direct to table. My wheelchair was no problem with this restaurant. Main dish being pizza. But the menu includes alot more, even wine. What I like, was the hostess and waitress didn't not hang over me or keep pestering " ready to order" like alot other restaurants I been to. This was a Friday, and. Business was buzzing, yet still had at home feeling. Watch orders coming in and out fast. Not a typical pizza shop this is real family setting restaurant. The Hostess being Amanda, very different from being professional, meaning more as making feel welcome and special. From what I had gather, they also have a good relationship with the local hotels on the boulevard, even the staff and employees come here to eat . Very impressive. As I ate I watch the kitchen staff at work from where I was seated. They also were very impressive. No bickering, no lazy shenanigans. If your looking for great Italian dinning this is number one in Niagara Falls. Better place than find near the Falls or Casino.

We recently visited Buzzy Pizza and had a mixed experience. The restaurant is clearly popular, but there were a few issues that stood out during our visit. First, the pizza itself was good, but it was too greasy for my taste. Despite this, I can see why it's a hit with many people. The service, however, was quite slow, even though the staff seemed to be working as a team. We also tried the cheese steak, which was different from any I've ever had—it wasn't chopped, which was unexpected. The kids thought it was just okay. Unfortunately, the sangria was not good at all. On a positive note, we appreciated that the restaurant is dog-friendly, and we could bring our dogs along without any hassle. Overall, while Buzzy Pizza has its fans, our experience was a bit underwhelming. We might give it another try, but there are definitely some areas that need improvement.
