We are visiting in Oneonta for a few days to drop off our daughter at college. We were all really hungry after a long day of driving and unpacking, so we stopped by this restaurant to eat dinner. I donāt know who paid these people to write such nice reviews. This restaurant has the LEAST ābang for your buckā that Iāve ever seen. Firstly, I understand that there are guidelines for COVID-19, but Indian grill really took it to another level. My family was not allowed to use the bathroom, we had to eat with low quality plastic cutlery (even though when we asked for a serving spoon, they were able to give us a metal spoon š¤), and the server had the AUDACITY to give us a plastic bag at the end and tell us to clean up OUR OWN TABLE. Now, the food. I have a few words to describe it: overpriced, oily, and deceptive. The main deception came from the āmango madnessā naan. It was basically the same as the normal naan but with a small container with overly sweet jam. Also, we ordered a rice and chickpea dish that was supposed to have cashews, peas, onions and other vegetables. We only got chickpeas in some curry sauce with a few peas. We asked for water too, and the server brought us bottles of water (that we would have to pay for) instead of just giving us regular tap water. Iāve been to many restaurants in my life, and that has NEVER happened to me before. It made me feel even more cheated than I already was. The bottom line is: if you want to purposefully disappoint yourself, then feel free to eat at...

Curries were amazing, especially the goat curry. I could eat plates and plates of it. They were very flavorful and meat pieces were falling apart tender. I loved that the spiciness level than the other Indian restaurants that I had been to around the twin cities. Even if you are not a meat eater, there were plethora of vegetarian options. There were squash, mixed vegetables, potatoes, and mushrooms just to name a few. Naan were buttery and soft. It was perfect when eaten with curry sauces, soaking up all the sauces. The rice pudding was a great way to end the meal... Kudos to the chef and the staff and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGenerally I avoid posting negative reviews for small businesses because I understand how difficult it is to run them. But this restaurant is a total scam in the name of Indian food. I say this as a vegetarian Indian living and eating Indian food in US since 5yrs. Aloo paratha was nothing like paratha but more like a rubbery naan Paneer chilli was hard paneer dipped in extremely sweet tomato ketchup Schezwan fried rice was just bland yellow colored rice. I swear either this restaurant is not at all run by an Indian or the day we picked up food the Indian chef didnāt turn up. Extremely extremely...
