We have been wanting to go check this place out for a long time and finally got a chance to today! I honestly am upset I didn't go sooner! My 9yr old loved being able to play games with quarters like I did as a kid. The pinball machines really got his attention and most of his time haha. We had some appetizers and they were awesome. The wings were a special for a whopping $.50 ea which is almost unheard of these days. They were cooked to perfection and very meaty! The fries were fresh cut shoestring size that tasted great as well, I wish I had gotten a small though it was too much! We also got deep fried curds and they really hit the spot! My son got the burger and fries kids meal and he rated it very highly and he is picky eater. "Best burger ever dad!!!" Overall it was a great experience and we plan on...
Read moreThis used to be one of my hangouts in the past, when it was Something Cool. Down the street a bit was the arcade a decade before. They've managed to combine the arcade with a bar and a lot of nostalgic things. They've decorated the basement and bathrooms up to look like the NYC subway system with the musty smell of pee included! Ah, memories... LOL. Seriously though, the staff is friendly and helpful. When we had trouble with one of the change machines the owner noticed without us even asking and set everything straight. They have lots of beer and plenty of NA drinks options. Check out the tables in the back with some classic kid/family games embedded under the acrylic tabletop. You can ask for pieces at the bar to play them. Definitely worth a stop in the evening...
Read moreThe 1Up burger was great and I loved the 1Up sauce. Home fries are definitely a plus. So I thought it was a good meal at a reasonable price. I met CJ and what a nice conversation. Him and everyone working with him have a really awesome thing going.
The decor is pretty cool with retro movie posters, comic book covers and plenty of video game wall art.
Obviously the highlight is the machines. The owners have this collection of arcade machines which is being cycled in and out of the restaurant. There is nothing like this in Plattsburgh. There hasn't been any real arcades around in a long time.
Getting to play these great machines was a blast from the past.
Will definitely be back.
