We regularly eat here when we visit the museum, and it's usually fine, but our last visit was unacceptable. We went with my grandmother, who is in her late 90s and a long-time donor to the museum. When she was paying for lunch, she had trouble with the credit card reader. She ended up running her card through twice and removed it early. At this restaurant, apparently that causes the computer to freeze up. They then lose the order (ordering here is already confusing without having to do it twice) and are unable to tell you if your card has been charged! I have NEVER had this issue anywhere else; they can always tell you if something went through or not. But not here. So then the blonde (manager?) starts copping an attitude with me and my nearly 100 yo grandmother. She tells us that she has to run her card through a third time or we can't have the food, and she says my grandmother should just let her know if her card gets charged 3 times. She then seems incredibly put out when grandma doesn't do online banking from her smart phone so that she can figure this out immediately. Later that evening, grandma called her credit card company, and sure enough she had been charged 3 times. No customer should have to clean up the mess because the restaurant's technology is outdated or bad, and the rude employee did nothing to improve the situation. To cap it all off, the food took a...
Read moreMe and my dad's girlfriend and her daughter went to the Strong Museum, and after walking around a bit, we chose to go to the Bill Gray's inside. Usually I don't have an issue with Bill Gray's but this one by far was the worst. We waited about 15 minutes for our order and when me and my dad's girlfriend went to pick it up, they forgot our milkshakes. I started eating right on thier counter because of how badly they screwed up our order. We got our milkshakes but one was the wrong size! They kept screwing up. We were told to wait 5 minutes and we left, came back in five minutes and the employee said that he was looking for us..... the handwriting on the milkshakes which were supposed to be my dad's girlfriend's name was horrendous, and the spelling was the most far-gone I've seen in an establishment. Is there a 3rd grader working in the back? Probably.
Our milkshakes came completely melted as well. Other people nearby shared thier complaints of this location as well. Bill Gray's has an important legacy to keep in tact, especially...
Read moreThis is the worst place I have ever eaten at. The wait for the food is long and way over priced. Run by kids who dont care. I ordered the peanut butter ice cream and after 12 minutes it finally came out with just vanilla ice cream and caramel. The food is cheap and expensive. If a place has a diner like place to eat, and you dont want people bringing in food, this place needs to be better. I would honestly eat before you come, and leave to some place nearby that's worth your money. Multiple people before and after me were complaining. I watched orders missing items from other customers. Really shouldn't have taken long for what I ordered. I also ate lunch, got an order of chicken tenders, 5 piece, comes with fries, 2 sodas, 2 kids chicken, burger, kids mac and cheese and it came to 50 bucks!!! I came back later before we left bc i promised my kids ice cream and i waited 12 minutes for a wrong order, a small milkshake and a small peanut butter ice cream, which both came out just vanilla...
