La Bola on Main is located at the Mercentile on Main at Rochester NY. My husband and I went over to LA Bola for lunch. Lunch is ordered at the counter and server will bring food items out to the inside court where there is plenty of seating. I ordered the smokey tomatoe soup and grilled cheese. Both were excellent choices. The smokey tomatoe soup was delicious with a hint of smokey flavoring. The grilled cheese sandwich was the best one ever! What may have been home made bread was buttery good and grilled to perfection. The cheese was stretchy gooey and it was so good I could have ate a second. Service was friendly efficient and not a long wait. Thank you La Bola for a scrumptious lunch. Comfort food at its best!

Disappointed by Lunch at La Bola I ordered the chorizo sandwich for lunch, and unfortunately, it missed the mark. The chorizo chunks were oversized and undercooked, and the sweet fruit on the sandwich clashed with the meat, which lacked any spice or depth. The whole thing had a metallic taste—possibly from the sandwich press, which might need a cleaning. The tomato soup was very basic, offering little in terms of flavor or comfort. I also tried the Sangria #2, hoping it might redeem the meal, but it was equally underwhelming. Overall, I left disappointed and wouldn’t return.

I stopped here on my lunch break to treat myself to a nice meal since I didn't know if I was going to have to work the whole Thursday for Thanksgiving. I ordered the La bola burger with kettle chips I also ordered a side order of seasonal ricotta toast and let me tell you it did not disappoint. I recommend this location if you are looking for a nice place with a unique taste the staff is very friendly and very accommodating the place is beautiful of course being inside the Sibley's building in the atmosphere is A1

Well this is a gem of a restaurant in the city of Rochester!!!! I just left La Bola with my family celebrating my nieces graduation and I cannot praise this place enough. From our hostess Jenna being so kind and accommodating to the seating placement and the food was lick your fingers clean. I loved the beautifully decorated seating area and bar . It’s very inviting! We had the shrimp scampi, lamb kabobs, Focaccia and basmati rice. We ordered a second Focaccia cause it was damn good the first time. All cooked to perfection. Well seasoned and the perfect portion size per person. If I’m ever in Rochester again I’ll be back. Our thanks to the chef….. just...

Honestly, came to check this place out. We were completely turned off on arrival. We weren’t greeted, rather had to ask if we could sit, on an afternoon with hardly anyone there. The bartender was too busy in his conversation with folks at the bar. The rest of the bar hadn’t been cleared from previous occupants—-because the bartender was too busy with conversations with friends. Mind you, there were only 4 ppl there. Tried to engage with the bartender—-not friendly to us at all. Took forever to get a drink order—too busy talking to his friends. So, no dice for staying for the food.
