We recently stayed at the hotel the weekend of our wedding, and had communicated with the hotel that we would like to have the party continue after our wedding was over. The bar normally closes at 11, but the hotel said that as long as we could guarantee a certain amount of business that it would be no problem staying open later. After communicating with them about how that wouldn't be a problem we were excited that we would be able to go to the bar and hang out with our guests after our wedding was over. The night before our wedding, I had spoken to ed (one of the bartenders) to verify that we would still be able to come to the bar afterwards. He said he would be there and there would be no problems. We thought we were all set. Upon the end of our wedding we got back to the hotel, and to our surprise the bar was closed. Very disappointing. We had family in from out of town, and friends ready to celebrate more with us. Wish that we weren't lied to, and that we could have had a good time here. Probably won't return...

Ordered the chicken and waffles as an appetizer only to receive cold waffles and tough chicken tenders. The batter was pretty tasty in texture (if that makes sense) but lacked flavor. And the chicken, oh God the chicken. It was like they boiled it, flash fried it then put it on a plate. Just sad.
My mate ordered the bison meatloaf, took 2 bites and lost his appetite.
The menu is deceiving, the food is poorly executed but the establishment is really pretty. Just order drinks and soak up the ambience. Don't eat here. I tried...

The chicken and waffles were so good I honestly almost cried. There was not one bad thing. At all. The chicken was beautifully fried, not heavily battered and the waffles were that dreamy crisp on the outside while fluffy inside. I genuinely want to find a way to bring them to Austin. They were absolutely the best. The restaurant itself was super cute as well and my glass of wine (Josh Cellars I think?) was great too. Let's just say that everything there was so great I didn't even stop to take a picture because I was enjoying it so much. Idk how it could be better. Come to Austin, you belong...
