Totally disappointed. After a 4.9 google review (the 4 stars on yelp seems a little closer to appropriate).
We’re from the Philly area and adore a good NY Style deli, we have many. We were SO EXCITED to try the Broadway deli, with its promise of excellent NY deli fare.
We both got build your own sandwiches with pastrami, his with Swiss, mine without both marble rye.
What came to us was no bigger than a elementary school lunch sandwich. My husband said the owner(?) recognize the skimpiness of the sandwiches and took $2 off the total $22 for 2 sandwiches ($11 each) making them $10 each.... this astonished me... why would you send out less than perfect food? Especially when it’s a sandwich? sorry but I’d rather have the food than the $2! HOWEVER, in this case less food was a good thing.
The meat was NOT that delicious homemade pastrami that you would expect from a killer NY deli with a smallish menu, lending to the impression that they don’t do it all... but they do it right. NOPE ....it was totally average, grocery store lunch meat. Boooooooo. The coleslaw was also mediocre and was more cabbage with a light dressing than a true slaw. The half sour pickle was nice, but I’m guess not house made...
For $33 we got 2 tiny sandwiches with grocery store meat, 2 small bags of chips and 2 cans of soda..... UM WHAT?
If you want an AVERAGE deli experience with great deli prices... this...

I've been ordering from saratoga deli for quite sometime, but today they put borderline raw bacon on my $15 club sandwich. I rarely ever write food reviews. Having a poorly made sandwich is one thing, but something that could make me sick is another story. Next time, if there will be a next time, take 2 more minutes to properly cook your pork so as to not danger your customers. To give them the benefit of the doubt, I also understand that if they did the unconventional technique of boiling their bacon, it might come off as raw when it really isn’t, but I doubt they did this as I’ve had other sandwich’s previously with brown, crispy, obviously pan fried bacon from Saratoga deli. I have previously worked as a line cook, so I understand the immense pressure, but there is no excuse for raw pork. I am upset I had to write this, but It would be against my morals to not warn other customers about the dangers of the food they as ingesting from Saratoga Deli. I don’t want this to come off as an attack on the deli, I just hope that they can acknowledge my review and put in an effort for this not to...
