My wife and I have dined here at least twice and both times, we experienced SUPERB service. We dined in September 2018. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly and with a very friendly face, smile, and upbeat attitude. We inidicated that we have never been in New York much less the restaurant and the nice lady (I’m terrible with names) was MORE than HAPPY to give us great suggestions of the menu. I tried the suggested drink, Mango Lassi, and it has great flavor. The drink was a yogurty type drink, you could clearly taste fresh Mango (fooled me if it’s not lol), it was light, not to sweet, and complimented the food very well. I had the Lamb Vindarloo (not sure if I spelled that right) and my wife had Lamb curry. As suggested, the nice lady inidicated we could swap out meats for entrees and many other entrees if we would like other proteins. The ordered entrees had UNPARALLELED flavors and was clearly like an mom or grandma makes at home ...and then some. You can adjust spice levels, as suggested, to your liking and we made ours a little more spicy. We also had the garlic naan. The garlic naan was crispy in the outside, soft in the inside, and the flavor was spot on and not over powering, complimented the meal very well. Had a chance to meet the owner and he , like everyone else, was very very friendly. He even suggested some dishes to try for next time as we were conversing about our great experience. Read moreWORST WORST WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, RUINED MY FAMILY EVENING we visited this place today for a family dinner. The food was nice, no complaints about it but this restaurant is rated zero when it comes to customer service.Specifically the manager guy working there has no sense of hospitality. He literally would skip us over and take orders from other table, we are tryin to place an order with him and he leaves the conversation walking over to other table sayin “one minute” with no apology, no sorry or excuse me. So we decided to ignore his behaviour and not escalate it just because the food was as expected and good. But the issue starts when we go to pay our bill on the desk, and the lady helping us brings over some conversation about some misundersting she had with us, which gets resolved easily and everything was fine, but this guy suddenly jumps in middle of the conversation and talks to us as “OYE” and “EHHH”, which was very disrespectful. So me and my husband trying to walk out asked him to calm down and end it, but he still continues to be rude, loud and disrespectful, threatening us coming over my face and so it became disgusting. We chose to walk out of his face before the situation worsens.

As we entered the person who was running the establishment Mr. Robin Chettri was extremely arrogant. We had a reservation for 20 people and as per his request to me we even delayed our dinner reservation to give him time to set up. He was quite rude and dismissive for someone running a hospitality establishment. He even fraudulently put 15% charges on the individual bills trying to disguise it as his own personal policy for gratuity. When questioned by the families paying their individual bills he threatened one of the gentleman saying he would pull the trigger. This was in front of women and children. He was disgustingly rude to the ladies. Luckily we got the children out before could get violent or more abusive. His colleague the lady was more polite and probably aware of Robin Chettri's behavior. This person should not be allowed to run or manage any family establishments as he has no manners and can you imagine anyone threatening to shoot you for questioning them as to the forced fraudulent billing done.
