So I finally went to this Chik-fil-a after hearing all the craze over it. My dad is from the south so him and my mom ate there and have fond memories of the place. I ate there once before as a small child and again just a few years ago and liking it fine both times. But having not eaten there for so long I came into this completely fresh.
I went for the drive thru and it was so packed you needed to drive through the iHOP parking lot to get to it because it was so packed(probably an exaggeration but it had a lot of cars). I got in line and waited which wasn't too bad a wait, the line moved at a steady pace. Because of the amount of people there were workers outside with portable order system things taking orders from the cars. One of the servers came to me who was very nice and took my order. I then continued through the line until another worker came and handed me my food bag and wished me a great night.
I went home and took out the food for me and my parents. I ordered 2 Chik-fil-a deluxe sandwiches, 3 chicken strips, 2 medium fries and 1 small fries. What I got was 2 regular Chik-fil-a sandwiches, 3 orders of 3 chicken strips, and the rest was fine.
That kind of made me and my parents chuckle a bit. The food was very tasty, and I love my chicken and my parents didn't mind the extra chicken so that worked out. And while I enjoyed the food very much, and the service was very friendly, I am rather annoyed I didn't get what I actually asked for. I completely understand that when things get really busy things get mixed up and I'm happy overall, I just hope that when I order again in the future, this kind of mix up doesn't happen again as I didn't get half of the order I actually asked for and ended up paying more money unintentionally.
Overall very happy, but please listen...
Read moreI wanted to love that chick fila was in town. We went shortly after they first opened and asked for extra honey roasted bbq, and we were told we would have to pay. We accepted and said we did not care, just give us 10 packets. The trainer began telling the new employee how to ring up the sauces, and explained the sauce policy. Then he weirdly accused us to listening to his training info (that he gave in the middle of our order, at our window) to take advantage of their sauce policy....like if you don't want anyone to hear your top secret sauce policy, dont give it in the middle of my order, while standing at the open window of the vehicle i pay for. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how many people are inside or in the drive-thru be prepared to wait. I went at 0635 am, right after they opened on s Thursday and there was 1 car ahead of me. I waited 20 mins for a dr. Pepper and chicken minis. Every time I go, they forget to give me honey roasted bbq too. I went last week and the staff was running around outside with bags as we approached the area where you get your food. My window was down and one of them ran up, said "taylor,Taylor!?" And shoved someone else's food into my window. I caught it, but the napkins and a fry fell out. When I said I wasn't Taylor, they ran to the car in front of me. I got up to the window/food delivery area, and was given my food 40 mins after I entered the line. However, the employee that gave me my drinks and one of the drinks in the carrier tipped side ways. And soda spilled out. They also didn't mark the drinks so we had to guess when I got home. Per usual I had to pull forward and yell out the window for the honey roasted bbq sauce . My large fry was also only half full. If you want quick and efficient service, just drive...
Read moreGreat customer service, so polite. They even remembered my name, long after I had placed my order. Amazing deluxe chicken meal, & the fruit punch was tasty. This was my first trip to Chick-Fill-A by the way.... I'm so not used to this level of customer service, it felt like I walked into a cult gathering...... (a few weeks later) I went back for the nuggets. I didn't like the chick fillet sauce, with the fries or burger, but with the nuggets they were amazing. The Oreo milk-shake was very good, but not as good as the milkshake at Zak's dinner in the byward market area of downtown Ottawa. That said the oreo milk shake is a must try at chick fillet & the nuggets 😋 are amazing... try the sweet spicy sauce... I think that's what it's called. The mac & cheese is not KD mac & cheese, it's Sunday dinner mac & real cheese. I'm kinda glad I don't live near a Chick-Fill-A... because I'd be...
