This was definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Yardhouse. I’m not sure where to begin… I’ll start with service. The waiter that was serving us, was in one word, awful. He wasn’t friendly or quick with anything. I asked for 2 waters with lemon, he brought waters 3 mins later with no lemons. We ordered 2 drinks as well, the only good thing about this experience were the drinks. They were tasty, thanks to the female bartender on shift. Then we order food and this is where things got bad. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Sandwich and my partner got the cheesesteak. Once the food came out it took the waiter about 7 mins to come over and check on us, mind you the restaurant is completely dead! We still didn’t have any utensils at this time so I couldn’t eat the salad that I got as my side. Also when I cut into the sandwich the fish was completely cooked through (well done) which is the complete opposite way you’re supposed to eat Ahi Tuna. It’s supposed to be seared rare, not completely well done and inedible. It was a disgusting plate of food. We just sat there for 7 mins waiting for the server so I can change my food to plant based wings. We then waited for another 18 mins for a plate of small wings to come out, they never did. About 15 mins after waiting the manager came over and never apologized for anything. All he said was the food will be out in 2 mins. I said okay, very frustrated at this point because the food and service were awful. He said he would remove the tuna from the bill which was already obvious because I didn’t even touch it, and I agreed. He left and after about another 5 mins of waiting for the food that both the waiter and manager promised, it never came. I was furious. I walked up to the front just to see the manager chatting with the hosts, laughing and not caring about anyone or anything. I told him to remove the wings from the bill because we had somewhere to be and at this point I didn’t want any food from this place. My partners food was dry and the fries that came with her cheesecake were literally cardboard. I then waited another 5 mins for the manager to simply take the two food items off the bill that we didn’t eat or receive and he never came back to the table. The manager was acting like a child and fixed zero issues that we had. Finally one of the host brought over our check because the manager didn’t want to! The server never came back. As we left $50 to pay for the bill and awful service (2 drinks and 1 cheesesteak w/ tip) we saw the server and manager chatting most likely about us, both smiled and laughed as we were leaving. I literally can’t believe how this place stays in business. I’ve been to plenty of other Yardhouse’s and most of the time we have an excellent experience, but this Yardhouse has to be one of the worst in the country. Me and my partner are both waitresses and know how the service industry works, we will never go back here and you shouldn’t either. Go to any of the other restaurants on the strip, I’m telling you, you’ll regret going to this place. -10/10 for the manager on duty today and 0/10 for the waiter that served us. Awful...
Read moreWish I could post zero stars. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Please note, I gave the Yard House the benefit of the doubt by emailing the restaurant and corporate office my concerns last week before writing this review, and I never got a reply. (I got a confirmation when I submitted the form on their website). Very telling.
I went to the Yard House in Yonkers, NY this past Tuesday at about 3:30PM for lunch with a friend. I haven't been to the Yard House in a couple of years, but picked this as place to eat this past Tuesday based on the excellent customer service and food at my last visit.
Here's the issues I encountered:
-Server took over 10 minutes to greet us and take our drink orders. The place was almost empty, with only 6 tables, yet there were numerous staff members wandering around, including 2 bartenders with no one at the bar just hanging out and chatting with other staff members, and 3 staff members sitting in separate booths apparently on break eating. There were 2 other staff members who would bring out food and pace around when there was nothing for them to do.
-When our drinks were delivered over 5 minutes later, they were warm and the ice half melted with very small glasses. (Strawberry Lemonades). We couldn't get ahold of our waitress to refill them.
-The burgers were OK, but the fries were cold and undercooked. We couldn't ask for hot fries, because no one came to the table to make sure we were OK or need anything until the end of the meal.
-We were given thin drink napkins as our napkins for our meal, which were greasy burgers. When asked if we could have real napkins, we were unapologetically told that they were out of napkins, but offered us more drink napkins or wet wipes.
-When we asked for the check, it took over 10 minutes to get it. Meanwhile, we saw our waitress bus other empty tables that had been there since we arrived, took drink orders and delivered them for another table. We were basically ignored when we asked again for the check. After asking the second time, it took another 5 minutes to get the check.
-When asked for a manager to express our issues, we were told there was no manager available.
I usually don't email about customer service issues, but this was all around a horrible experience. It was made worse by the empty restaurant with numerous staff members literally doing nothing while we had to wait several minutes between each transaction with the waitress. Based on all this I will never visit any Yard House...
Read moreThe Yard House in Ridge Hill was one of my favorite after work happy hour spots. However, I do not plan to visit the location any time in the near future. Theft is REAL!!!!
I met with a few co-workers at Yard House on Thursday, 8/29. When I arrived home I discovered I left my Apple Airpods at the restaurant. After checking the location of them, I contacted the restaurant to notify them the Air Pods were still there. I spoke with several employees and the the manager on duty, Bianca who advised me the Airpods had not been returned. I left the restaurant at approximately 5:30 p.m. and at 10:30 p.m. the Airpods were still at the restaurant. I deduced it could only be an employee who had the Airpods. I advised the the manager that I was at the restaurant 5 hours earlier and I doubted whether a customer picked them up. Bianca stated she would check with all of the workers at the end of the shift and I should contact her the following day, Friday, 8/30 after 12 p.m.
At approximately 6 a.m. on Friday, 8/30, my Airpods were seen at 724 Cranford Avenue, Bronx, New York. They were also seen at 4735 White Plains Road in the Bronx, 265 W First Street in Mount Vernon and several locations later in the day.
I contacted the manager, Bianca at approximately 12:00 p.m. I reported my findings to her. I gave her the addresses of where the Airpods were seen. I told her she could easily check her employee attendance records as the THIEF apparently had not reported to work and she could verify employee addresses. She told me she would discuss the matter with her general manager and get back to me. I had another conversation with Bianca later that afternoon. She advised me there was no action to be taken because the THIEF had not returned the Airpods. I advised her I would be reaching out to law enforcement for resolution.
The Airpods were not seen at Yard House on Friday, 8/30, but were there yesterday, 8/31for an extended period of time. Again, I can only deduce it is an employee or a customer that loves Yard House. You do the Math! At this writing, the Airpods are at 726 Cranford Avenue, Bronx, New York 10470.
Beware!!!!!! Please make sure you have all of your belongings before you leave Yard House. They clearly do not employ honest individuals. Moreover, the manager and general manager were not moved to action, nor did they appear to be alarmed by employee theft!!! Very...
