The Texas de Brazil is an absolute amazing upscale Brazilian restaurant that’s known for offering guests an exquisite chef crafted salad bar, an all you can eat grilled meat selections and a multitude of delightful meal options.
In December of 2023, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at Texas de Brazil, specifically the branch based at the Ridge Hill mall in Yonkers, New York, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our dining experience!!! Hands down, the Texas de Brazil is one of the greatest restaurants we’ve had the pleasure of visiting and dining!!!
Both my wife and I were warmly welcomed by the restaurant’s staff and were quickly provided with a very comfortable seat and table. Our server, Israel S. did a fabulous job on explaining the dining experience offered by Texas de Brazil. His explanation was very helpful for first time diners such as our ourselves. He mentioned the various meat options that would be made available for guests to pick and choose and that would be brought to our table by multiple servers. He also provided a great overview of the drinks and dessert options.
Additionally, Israel pointed out the importance of the dining pad. At Texas de Brazil, customers would use a paper pad to determine when they would like meat servings brought to their table. If the pad is turned green side up, servers would come to your table to offer meat. If the pad is turned red side up, you would no longer be served. Israel addressed all of our questions regarding the meat dishes, treated us with great respect and care, and always checked with us to see if we were having a great time. We give a huge two thumbs up to the service provided by Israel!!!
In addition to the great service, both my wife and I absolutely loved all the meals that were offered to us at Texas de Brazil!!! Before coming to the restaurant, please be sure to have a near empty stomach because they will look to offer you an unlimited supply of juicy and mouth watering dishes like there’s no tomorrow!!! We had eaten a multitude of different meat dishes ranging from lamb chops, garlic picanha, flank steak, filet mignon, barbecued ribs and so much more!!! We found every dish to be perfectly cooked, seasoned and unquestionably delicious!!!
We’d like to thank Texas de Brazil for providing us with an outstanding and unforgettable dining experience, and highly recommended for everyone to visit this wonderful...
Read moreWhere to begin with the Yonkers location. We just had a small get together with 15 people in October 2023. When we arrived 13 out of 15 people were there. unfortunately, two were stuck in traffic. I understand the restaurant wants to seat the entire party together but unfortunately, sometimes, travel delays us beyond our control. I requested our party be sat and even offered to both the hostess and the manager to pay for the two temporary empty chairs. But our group was met with nothing but a condescending tone and disrespectful remarks. The manager Alex was willing to jeopardize a group of 15 over two people which we offered numerous times to pay for and who were on the way. That set the precedent for the entire evening. When we finally sat, they did not give a minute to enjoy the market table, they bombarded the area with the rotational selection (even before drinks were brought out). It was unnecessarily overwhelming and did not give the guests an opportunity to enjoy their food. Now there is a two hour limit, because of the rotational selection of food which is completely understandable. What is not understandable is when they stop serving for 20 minutes and that cuts into your two hours. But not only was there such a delay in bringing the rotational selections around. They also just kept coming with the same item. We had to request two or three times for different items to be brought around when they should be doing that on their own. So, between the delay in rotational selections and requesting different food, selections be brought around the two hours went by very quickly. After having dessert and right at the two hour mark, another manager came in and informed us that our time was up and that they needed to clean our area. We have been at this location numerous times but unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be returning. Myself and our group have never felt so rushed and disrespected at a restaurant till that night. I can personally attest that if you want a great experience with great food to try Fogo de Chao in...
Read moreTo say that I was completely disappointed with the lackluster food served at this restaurant is an understatement. First, an Asian server of Filipino decent was antagonistically sarcastic to say the least. I reported his misbehavior and the management assigned the floor manager to take care of us.
For the past several years, my brother Joe and daughter Larissa have birthdays in the month of October and have been visiting this restaurant in celebration. Never would we have imagined the subpar meats served at this forum. From seriously undercooked meats (served Black and Blue.) through embarrassing young servers who foolishly made inappropriate comments in their hope of delighting my daughter.
The banquet manager mitigated most of our concerns by professionally engaging and catering to all of our requests. However, this food emporium failed miserably in accommodating us with the appropriate meat temperature as requested and failed horribly in serving us quality meats. What the heck happened? Even the salad bar had dried out food throughout the buffet station. AGAIN, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU FOLKS?
Our dinner culminated with two (2) bottles of cabernet, and a taste of after dinner liquid desert of Louis 14 cognac. Our bill of $626 which included the tip didn't go unnoticed and needed to be displayed. You see, I really don't mind going out of my ordinary spending budget if I am having a terrific time. It is only after experiencing the contrarian that I will detail a catastrophic deal breaker.
Needless to say,, this may not come as a surprise when I warn you to stay away. If you are a purveyor of quality red meats, please give these people a call immediately. Moreover, unless you are into paying big for very little, may I consider you a lucky person who can save yourself from this painful train wreck. You have...
