Patty's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Claremont

Came because reviews were high, with the expectation of authentic Mexican food. Told the cashier this was our first time but he gave no positive or encouraging response. Not friendly nor welcoming just all business. Ordered chicken quesadilla and simple bean-n-cheese burrito. Food came quickly but it was 2pm so past rush and only 1 other to-go customer. But sadly food had no Mex flavors and moreover was barely warm. Tortilla tasted homemade but a tortilla is not enough of a reason for a second return. After giving my order i stood back and watched these incredible women cook like a well oiled modern-day machine but the fact of the matter is a machine couldn't come close to even matching the great taste of authentic Mexican food the way MoM used to make it. Here at Patty's these hard cooking Lady's take the time to make this food bring back good old fashioned mothers tasty memories. Patty's is an outstanding location for Mexican take out. A hard shell shredded beef taco and a bean and cheese burrito is my usual order, and both are outstanding. What really knocks it out of the park for Patty's is the fact that they hand roll the flour tortillas, they slap a lump of dough on the grill and fry the tortilla right there!
