I recently had breakfast at Los Jarritos, a Mexican restaurant that left my taste buds dancing with delight. The standout dish for me was the Burrito Mojado filled with Chile Relleno – a perfect fusion of flavors that showcased the culinary prowess of the kitchen. One delightful surprise was the "Café de Olla," a robust and aromatic coffee that complemented the meal exceptionally well. The rich blend added an extra layer of warmth to the dining experience. While the food was undeniably the star, the atmosphere could benefit from a touch of traditional music to enhance the overall ambiance. Nonetheless, the cozy setting didn't overshadow the incredible flavors that Los Jarritos has to offer. In conclusion, if you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine with a modern twist, Los Jarritos is a must-visit. The delicious food and friendly service make it a hidden gem, and with a few tweaks to the atmosphere, it has the potential to be an even more memorable dining destination.

4.3 stars, only missing 5 stars due to newly opened location. The original location in Pomona, after nearly 40 years of operation closed in May 2025. It has reopened in Claremont, and for the most part seems very similar to it's old location. The interior needs to be updated, it is okay, but the previous drop tile space was a little warmer than this spot. Service was good, food took a little time, but they just opened yesterday and it was busy at 9:30. The food that came out was slightly better than when I had had it last, closer to what was served prior to COVID. Funny thing, by moving to Claremont, they automatically become the best Mexican food spot in Claremont. Judging by the crowds this location should be able to make another 30+ years. Also have heard a new La Verne location will be opening soon!

I’m not a fan of innards of any animal but the elders wanted me to try it. Mexican menudo is good with lemon, oregano and onions. Without the condiments I cannot eat it. I don’t like the smell. 🤢 This is my first time and I like it. The restaurant looks like an ordinary canteen but a lot of people were still lining up when we left. This restaurant is popular.❤️ Next time, I will try other stuff. Four stars only because there were flies inside and one of the food server got red eyes and looks sick. But they were very polite and nice nonetheless. Good food and price is just right👌🏽

Been going hear for years.. My parents as well.. Food was always good.. SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! Called in an order at 12:30pm.. I was told it would be ready at 12:45. Showed up and paid. at 1 pm, still no food. I asked where are my drinks "horchata" and they said "they ran out" very rudely and that they would give me something different like jamaica. I said no, and why would they sell something they didn't have and asked for my money back.

Ok, another 10 minutes and they gave me an order which I knew was not mine because I saw them package it. I advised the cashier that it was not what I had ordered and showed him. He said, oh, you are right, the girl screwed up taking it although he showed her the order.

Another gentleman in front of me also received the wrong order and after rude responses to him, he demanded his money back because they apparently no longer made what he had originally ordered(hard tacos, btw). As the guy was walking away the cashier said in spanish and a low voice "stupid n*er". wow, cashier was a jerk especially since he thought no one heard. It was the same cashier that took the order.

I was then was told that I had to wait. its 1:20 and I asked the old hispanic cashier with a mustache who is the manager in charge and he told me WHY! I advised him because it was unacceptable to treat customers the way he was and I was upset at their rudeness. I wanted to complain to the manager.

The Cashier and I ended up getting into a heated verbal argument that led to a challenge of a fight. I demanded my money back and advised him that they are incompetent. At this point, an obese hispanic cook flipped me of as I was walking out and I returned to address what his issue was. Another verbal argument ensued with another challenge of a fight. The whole time no one would tell me who the manager was. I am reporting them as soon as I find out who the owner is. Last time in this hole in the wall!! It is not definitely an establishment...

I been coming to Los jarritos for years me and my family have been visiting jarritos since I was a child.. never have I ever been treated with the utmost disrespect by an employee. I call to place an order the employee Damian answers and puts me on hold which is totally fine I know it's sundays and I know how it gets, like I said we been coming here for years.. he puts me on hold for almost 7min and when he comes back he doesn't apologize for the hold which any person with common courtesy will do. So I ask him hey man you put me on hold for quite a while almost 7min he says it's too busy I then tell him I understand but you could have just came on the phone and reassured me (the customer) that you will be another 2min.. he again tells me it's too busy and he doesn't have enough time to think. I tell him it's not really thinking it's just common courtesy. He returns and tells me (whatever man) and just hangs up on my face!!!!.. I drive to the restaurant to see for myself who this rude person is and it's some young kid behind the counter and when I confront him about the call he refuses to give me his name and when I tell another employee about his behavior all I can see is the rude employee smirking and nodding his head as if trying to mock or provoke the situation, he never once apologized for his actions.. this employee should be fired ,suspended and retrained in customer service. I don't care if he's related to the owner or anyone there it's about customer service!!! and when you treat people like trash and hang up on them that only reflects on the type of training and type of management and the type of employees the restaurant has.. I'm not speaking for all employees as most are pretty respectful. For some reason Damian feels he can do and say what he wants .. if I could give this place 0 stars I would.. I will be back tomorrow only to speak with the owner probly won't be giving Los jarritos my money for...

came here last week around 2pm and was very unhappy with the service. we came inside and read the sign that said put your name then wait outside to be called so took us like 3mins to find a pen signed our name and went outside. while we were out there 3 other groups walked in and were sat down so I went in to ask about their seating arrangement. I asked the cashier and she said that we could just sit at any empty table...so whatever we went and just sat down. then some guy walked in ordered his food to go and sat down somewhere and the lady told him he couldn't just sit wherever but he told her he wanted to just eat the food there. she then went on to scold him and tell him there was a sign about their seating procedure at the door...I tried to let it all go but ordering food took forever, we ordered drinks and felt like they rushed us on ordering food. the food came out like 5 mins after ordering so don't feel like it was freshly cooked food but whatever...the most annoying thing to me was we wanted to order more drinks but no one ever came back to our table. I tried waving people down but also didn't really wanna spend more money at this place. overall food was okay but service...
