Rude and racist waitress! if you look Mexican don't go there!..when I got there I ask for the sushi bar and waiter said it was bussy so no problem give me a table, but then she says "if you seat at a table the sushi from the bar will take a loong time" so I ask her : are you saying that we should leave? She says nooo of course not, so we seat at the table, my wife told me she was being racist and rude, so I said: maybe she meant something else, then I start ordering from the sushi menu and then she said: better order from the kitchen because sushi will take tooooo long" I'm thinking wth? I really wanted to try toro So I told her that I can drink a beer while I wait. Then I asked her for slice lemon for my mirugai and she said sorry I can't! So I thought, enough of this crap and I told her to cancel my order she then said let me see what I can do, and then she brought my order in a few minutes and with lemon,,,sushi was good that is why I gave one star but very expensive $118 for 2.. we will not be back.. I've been to Japan and know of traditional sushi.. I didn't leaver her any tip..she didn't deserve it. If you want traditional sushi...

It is a nice Japanese restaurant. I have been here once, in December of 2022. I came here on a Friday afternoon, to have a dinner. Of course, when I came, the place was packed. Therefore, I had to wait about 10-20 minutes, just to get seated. Still, the wait was worth it. The staff, who worked during that shift, were really helpful and attentive. If I remember correctly, I have ordered several sushi meals and cooked salmon. Those meals were delicious. Without the meals, the ambiance was great. Of course, prices were on the expensive side. Regardless, of prices, I do not regret spending my cash in this establishment. Still, I would recommend to eat in this establishment. For people, who have discretionary funds available. Since it can get pricey. Definitely, when I have some discretionary funds, I will visit this...

A charming and almost minimalist atmosphere which provides a sense of calm and well-being. No blaring music, no garish televisions- just polite conversation and the peaceful sound of chopping against cutting-boards.

The sushi chefs were very welcoming, polite, and skilled.

The server Sam was exceedingly warm, knowledgeable, and courteous.

My only complaint can be issued towards the server with a beard and backwards baseball cap. This individual struck me as contemptuous and discourteous. I am a bartender here in Claremont and am fully aware of the small behaviors by which a server might treat a customer with scorn. The individual in question needs a talking-to regarding the basic expectations of a server.

Other than that, the food was top-notch. There isn't a better sushi restaurant...

Chef Joel and chef Junya will blow your mind! Their fish ranges from unique flavors/pairings to classic tastings. They really take pride in what they do, and focus on making sure the customer is happy. Food: Anago was my favorite! I got two orders because it was so yummy. Their sauce is made in house and the sushi is served warm. It melts in your mouth and you'll feel like you're in clouds, or living in a beautiful bento box. Uni is also very fresh. Price: The price is written on the blackboard, so you won't be surprised with the bill. Their pricing is very fair. Sit at the bar if you can! Chat with the chefs so they can tailor foods to your palate. I'll be back.

The year of the Rabbit started with a Grand surprise. Today, January 24, is my birthday and my beautiful daughter invites me to this Wonderful location. She ask, "do you want sushi", "because I know a place." A 13 minute drive and we land at a memorable Sushi bar. To our surprise, behind the Sushi bar, Penn & Teller...this dynamic Duo made these sushi dish appear and we made it disappear.... Joel and Reggie are the Best ....take a look at the few photos I took. You won't be Disappointed.... Visit this Sushi destination...Cheers!
