Ubatuba Acai — Restaurant in Claremont

I have been going to Ubatuba Acai for many years. When they were in Ranch Cucamonga, I used to go at least 2x a week to get an Acai Smoothie and Salsa Verde Empanadas. So Good!! I was bummed when the Rancho location closed. I am excited that Ubatuba Acai re-opened in Claremont, Ca. The Acai Smoothies are the absolute best! If I had to rank Acai smoothies in order: #1 - Ubatuba, #2 - Jamba Juice, #3 Juice it Up... those are my mostly frequented places through my week and if I could get Ubatuba everyday, I would. There is no ranking for the Empanadas, because there are no locations that sell Empanadas that taste like they are from Brazil, El Salvador, Ecuador, Barcelona-Spain, etc. Ubatuba’s Empanadas are second to none.. Great breakfast, lunch, and dinner healthy cold meal, Acai bowl. It consists of fruits and a variety of nuts, seeds, granola, etc. There are so many different selections of toppings to choose from, and you can make your own. It is pretty fulfilling, and for a small size, it costs $11, medium $13, and so on. Staff are friendly. I recommend half acai and half papaya with chia pudding as the base, it mix well with any of the toppings (I go for blueberries/mangos/granola/dates/almonds, and the lists goes on because you can put as many as it fits in the bowl) and I love Nutella and honey lightly drizzle on top with it, but there are other favors to mix with as well. It is a nice spot selling Acai bowls. It was in this location, that I have tried an Acai bowl for the first time. It was really delicious. However, the prices were on the expensive side. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed my meal. The place, during my visit was clean. The staff, on that shift, were helpful and attentive. The line was non-existent. Of course, I came during day time, on a weekday, at the end of July, 2022. So, I do not know, how it is on weekends or Fridays.
