Tarantellas has been our go-to Italian since it opened. We have our favorites; Chicken Parmesan, Antipasto Salad, Hot Sausage Hero, Chicken Giambotta, Meatball Sliders, Garlic Knots, AND the dish ordered every time: Sautéed Pasta with Bolognese. Our average spending on a meal for two has been $95-$120 (pricey!). Lately, the Bolognese has not be up-to-par. I don’t know what they changed but the dish is not sautéed, the meat is course, chunks of tomatoes, no garlic. It’s been terrible the last few times we’ve had it. Last night we placed an order for 3 people, and got a large order of Bolognese with spaghetti. Well… it was barely tossed and there was hardly any pasta! We were using it as a side dish and we had to minimize our portions because it was literally all meat. Did the kitchen run out of spaghetti? I’m sorry, but spending $25+ for a large order that delivers an understuffed, unbalanced meal, is a fail. If this was the first time we were disappointed in this item, I’d let it go but it’s consistently been a thumbs down. The garlic bread was soggy. The rationing of the regular bread stinks. And the chicken giambotta lacked potatoes and the meat was too chunky for the dish. Now let me get back to making a box of spaghetti so I don’t waste the mound of bolognese. now making my own pound of pasta so I don’t waste all of this Bolognese. This restaurant needs to step up their game on the kitchen because Lorenzo’s and Rudy’s are...
Read moreWe’ve enjoyed Tarantella’s Ristorante in the past, but this latest order was a noticeable step down in quality.
The Good ⭐ Penne alla Vodka with Salmon – The pasta itself was excellent, with a well-balanced vodka sauce. However, I would have preferred the salmon served on the side rather than mixed in.
⭐ French Fries – A generous portion, properly salted and cooked well.
The Not-So-Good 🔹 Breaded Cutlet Sub – The chicken was disappointingly bland, lacking seasoning. The provolone, lettuce, and tomato were fine, but the chipotle sauce was used so sparingly it was barely noticeable.
🔹 Order Packaging & Missing Items – No condiments, utensils, or napkins were included, which made eating a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the aluminum container holding the fries was crushed at the bottom of the bag, making for a messy, disorganized presentation.
Final Thoughts Tarantella’s has proven to be great in the past, but this order didn’t meet expectations. The pasta was solid, but the sandwich lacked flavor, and the order was poorly packed. Hopefully, this was just an off day, but attention to detail needs...
Read moreSo I had my birthday dinner there. I told them over the phone it would be 30 or 35 people so they did a verbal agreement over the phone saying that I would have to pay for whatever people didn't show up and I would have to do buffet style so I chose five entrees and I got a salad and antipasto and when the day came. They kept staring at us to make sure I had 30 to 35 people and then they charge me for the people didn't show up at also a 20% tip for buffet style they didn't even serve us. I never heard of that and I lived in Clark 40 years and I love that restaurant for a long time that was a good restaurant but I will never step my foot back in there. The people that work there are horrible people they didn't even care I told him that it shouldn't be my fault that the people didn't show I didn't sign a written agreement. I don't even know if what they did to me was legal like I said I'll never step foot back in there ever again and the laughable part is they told my friend that if she comes back she can get a free dessert. I said you ripped me off and you also bullied me and all you offer me is a...
