Pizza was really good. I am from CT, and am always in search of a slice of home. This hit the spot! The 3 stars is for the experience. We showed up at 6:45 to order a pizza for dine in. We were told upon ordering that our order would have to be taken to go because they were overwhelmed with orders, and it would be a 45 minute wait. They’re open till 8pm. Ok…. 45 minutes wait for it to be done, ok, no problem. But puts us at 7:30. The pizza came out slightly faster than expected- @7:20pm. So I was pleased that we’d be able to go ahead and eat our dinner before closing time. As we ate, I sat in disbelief that the front of house guy proceeded to turn people away and tell people calling in orders that they were no longer making pizza because they close at 8pm. Then proceeded to put up chairs on top of the tables, while we were eating. We felt that we were being rushed out, and ate fast so the lights could be turned out by 7:40pm. These people want to WALK OUT @ 8 pm! I’ve never seen that before. I guess family run business…. They can do what they want. But very uncomfortable first ever visit...
Read moreNew York Pizza Depot is the kind of place pizza lovers in Clarksville swear by. I’ve followed them through three moves over the past 15 years, and now they’re on Fort Campbell Blvd. still serving up the same huge slices and great flavors as always.
This spot has real New York pizza flavor—big pies, chewy crust, stretchy, melted cheese that stretches off every slice. My usual is simple cheese and onion, but everything I’ve tried is delicious. Staff is laid back and friendly, and service is fast—I usually call in my order and it’s ready the second I walk in. You can order and pay online. They’ve got a generous lunch deal: two slices and a drink for $8 (cheaper than a Big Mac & Coke)
The space is open with plenty of booths and tables, TV monitors, a jukebox, and even a pool table if you want to hang out. They add new items regularly. On my most recent visit, cupcakes were new.
If you like real-deal pizza, nice local place, NYPD delivers.

BUT be prepared to pay more for pizza than you ever have before in your life and to get yelled at when you inquire about it. I got 2 pizzas and spent $36. THIRTY SIX DOLLARS. While refusing to give me a receipt or allowing me to have a take home menu. The 2 girls who used to work there were great, very informative, and sweet. One day they were gone and replaced with 2 other women who are mean and scoff at any question you could have. They never estimate your price well and even at the register she will tell you the wrong price and charge you something else. The place itself looks like its in ruins and old broken fixtures are scattered over the old stained flooring which hasn't been cleaned or cared for in years. The napkins and fixings they have available for adding on at the counter are always disgusting and the place reeks of mold. It's good pizza, but it really isn't worth the attitude or quality of care, especially for a place that...
