Horrible experience. I am a cna and I always go here on lunch break. And also to get food for residents if ask for. I went thur the drive thur of this location Saturday July 29, to order for my husband on lunch break. I asked the lady what meal would be the right one to order for fish and chicken. She tells me she has one with one side and a drink. I tell her that’s fine and sweet tea is fine. I then say I would like the meal to come with cole slaw and fries and if not I will pay extra to add it on the side. She says she has a meal that doesn’t come with a drink but has two side. I told her the drink was not needed (sweet tea) and that I would like that meal instead. She tell me the total would be $18….. I was thrown back by the price yet knew she had both meals on the order. When trying to tell her I only wanted the #7 meal she became irritate telling me well that’s what I just ordered and she doesn’t have to serve me with a bad attitude. I was so confused on how me telling her I only needed the #7 was rude and that I was the customer and I should be told I order wrong. Thinking she was a the other somewhat nice lady whom works there that is more better at handling things I went inside to speak to the manager. Well behold sue was the manager and once again tells me that I wasn’t right to correct her when she was trying to speak and that I was completely being rude about correctly her and I would get the police called if I don’t leave. Now me knowing the police have why more to worry about then me not getting food or what have you I told her that was out of line and I’ll wait outside for them to come to explain my self. Well she called them they came. Long story short all I wanted was a #7 meal and I got be little put down and threating my freedom or life (because yes I’m African American). All over a meal and her having a bad moment or day. I was banned by her to never come back for what I have no idea. I will never support this business again that’s no problem. She wouldn’t give me her name but even the police thought she was out of line told me to contact corporate a lawyer and what ever else cause she could be sued do to calling them for false pretenses. 5 police cars pulled up to assist her….. Her name is Anna she would not give the officers her last name. I’m baffled by this company to employee someone of this nature. Like what if I went to jail over her not wanting to take off the #1 or loose my...
Read moreIf you are of a certain age, you likely remember taking the trip to Long John Silvers with your parents and walking out a full fledged pirate with hat included in your meal. Those days may be long gone, but you can still do well for dinner by this location.
Serving a variety of fish, shrimp, clams, and related seafood, the restaurant offers a fast alternative to traditional dine in seafood establishment or fast food burger joints. Accordingly, the menu may be missing the specialties from those upscale seafood locations, but still offers a fulfilling array of seafood for you dine-in or to-go pleasure.
The restaurant itself is conveniently located off Lewis and Clark Blvd near shopping and other attractions. We were met warmly by staff upon entering and were able to order quickly. Like similar restaurants of it’s class, we were able to use a self serve drink fountain while the staff prepared our meal. The food came out quickly and was to order. The fish had the traditional Long John Silvers battered crust and was warm and delicious. Slaw, fries and hush puppies also all came cold or warm as expected.
We decided to eat in and were one of a few guest present. The interior is a little dated, but the booths have a whimsical theme decorated as the back of boats on the water. The only real down note was the staff hadn’t had a chance to clean up after a recent guest at the soda fountain who had left an overflow on the counter. They did clean it as we received our order.
If you stop in, be sure to ring the bell to thank the staff for their service. We did and hope to be back the next time we want a...
Read moreThe food wasn't the same as far as quality and portion size. It wasn't nearly enough for 6 of us. We spent 50 bucks on a 12-piece family meal. The fish were the same size as the chicken and that was not easy to tell them apart. The moisture from the food with cardboard did not hold up too well. They didn't fill up the Cole slaw container and did not put any more than 4 tartar sauces. We asked the lady to throw plenty in the bag and low and behold we got home with 4 tartar. I tipped them 4 bucks for their efforts but wasn't too happy to see things have changed. There's no longer corn on the Cobb either such a bummer. The customer service wasn't too bad just don't like my fish without a tarter. Won't go back due to the price of food and getting half the food plus a major price increase. The restaurant was clean and very empty inside so that's great if you're wanting a meal for 6 costing you over 50 bucks with tip and half the portion sizes. I also pick my battles today and didn't want to argue with a woman who thinks 4 tartar for that many pieces of fish is enough if she cared she would have thrown at least 1 per piece of fish in there for me considering it wasn't busy and we were kind enough to tip them something. 4 bucks isn't a lot these days but I'm sure others...
