BEWARE - YOU MIGHT BE EATING SOMEONE'S RETURNED FOOD!!! Yesterday I called in an order of black pepper chicken. I specifically asked if the dish came with green peppers and onions. I was assured it did. Needless to say, when I got home there were no green peppers and the dish was as dry as a bone with no sauce at all. I called and was offer a couple of egg rolls at my next visit or the green peppers I was missing. I decided to return the food for a refund. I dumped the rice and chicken back in the container that held the chicken and returned back to the restaurant. The person at the counter said "I thought you said the food was not touched". He was obviously upset the rice was now mixed in with the chicken. Then he said "NOW I HAVE TO THREW IT AWAY". I said "I would hope you would throw it ANYWAY since the food was taken out of the restaurant". So long story short, I think they resale returned food!!! I would give this place a zero if that...
Read moreMy family has been ordering from this place for years, and loved it. But something bad has happened to the quality of their food. The last three times we've ordered take out, the black pepper chicken and general tso's chicken both tasted like ammonia. It was unpalatable to say the least. The white rice tasted off as well. And then there's the wonton soup with near shredded wontons and wonton pieces instead of the whole ones we've gotten in the past. It also tasted like it was several days old. That's not what you expect when you order something that is supposed to be fresh made. The spring rolls weren't good either. They looked fresh, but the cabbage inside tasted rotten. Like I said, three times this has happened, in a row, with each order several weeks apart. So it wasn't a one off instance. We wont be ordering from here again. Sad, because it used to be our go-to for yummy...
Read moreOne piece of advice, don't get delivery. Pick up only and show up 5 minutes before your projected "order ready" time. There are dishes that they do up right and then some that could use some R&D. Sesame Chicken = great! Egg Foo Yung = great! Sweet & Sour chicken = as expected Moo shu pork or chicken = the moo shu is good, but the pancakes are shit! I use tortillas from LA Bonita Beef with garlic sauce = awesome! Fried rice = don't waste your money Dragon & Phoenix = good Shrimp with cashew = great! Wonton soup = don't even Hot & sour soup = good Shrimp & scallop in pepper sauce = very few scallops, and it would be sooooooo much better with sautéed shrimp. The breaded and fried shrimp in the dish are just mushy and gross.
Lastly...could we get an option to NOT put a bazillion packets of sauce...
