I went to this restaurant with my friend for lunch. After we ordered our sandwiches, the staff was asking us if we want mushroom, cheese and bacon on our sandwiches. We declined bacon but ok with mushroom and cheese. Then he asked us two more times about adding bacon. I declined the offer again. I didn't check my bill when I paid for the meal. After I got home from work, I realized they charged me bacon on both sandwiches. I called the restaurant on the same day and talked to their manager. He told me to come in so he can take care of it. He did give me the refund after I swing by 2 days later. I did enjoy their sandwiches in the past. I didn't understand why they keep on ask you about adding bacon but they don't tell you it is $1.60 extra for the bacon. They also automatically add onto your bill without asking. I just don't think it is an honest practice.

Rating: 3.8 Stars I have had Potbelly Sandwich Shop in the past, and they make good sandwiches. This was my first experience with their Sugar Cookie. As a cookie reviewer, it is my duty to put a review online. I was given their Sugar Cookie as a thank-you gift. It was just an average sugar cookie. I much prefer sugar cookies that are soft and gooey; this was very crumbly and dried out. I am not sure that I believe that it was baked fresh since it cracked on its own from being dried out. The edges of this Sugar Cookie were the best part. Also, there was too much granulated sugar on top. I wish this place was close to the River so that I could try their sandwich more often!

Lunch for 35 people, catered by Potbelly. We sent the menu to everyone on the team, they told us what they wanted and we built up the order. At the right time, we drove over and picked it up. Eight bags of sandwiches and chips! All labeled and easy to figure out what went for whom. And absolutely delicious!

I was really contemplating writing this review and how to set the tone because I really do like Potbelly. I like it a lot. But I probably won't be going back.

The last time that I went, post-lunch rush, during the ordering process I accidentally claimed the wrong sandwich (the man flashed it to me and I mistook the meat for chicken) and after putting mayo on it, realized that it was not mine. Whoops. But of course, the worker just knew I set out to ruin the sandwich owner's day and waste his own time, so he immediately started to be a dick to me. "Why can't you tell the difference?" "Are you SURE you ordered this one?" - blah blah - I understand I made a mistake, but come on, why lay into me? Why make both me and the other guy uncomfortable? So, I had to wait and listen to his ridiculous passive aggressive comments while sandwiches were being remade. A simple apology to the guy whose sandwich it was and he was A-OK, but not the prepper - as other people went though, he made sure to get my attention while asking the someone about their sandwich. It was ridiculous.

So, I made a mistake, sorry to ruin your day over a sandwich.

Afterwards, the cashier (who I see very often and recognized me) offered a subtle apology for her coworker's behavior after seeing I was pretty irritated, which was a nice gesture given throughout the rest of my time there, the guy was visibly perturbed at my audacity to make a mistake and then occupy his presence, even at the other end of the room. So I left, drove back and ate in my office.

I've gone countless times for the good sandwich, but since moving away from Clayton I've gone less, and this makes me not want to chance wasting my lunch time....

This is my go-to lunch spot at least twice a week. The food is excellent, the prices beat the competition, and the staff goes out of its way to greet the customer.

Nicky always greets me by name and she really hustles. Thank God Amon is back -- he gets the orders right, he chats with the customers, he is a real asset to the shop. Tarik, the assistant manager, runs a great operation. George, the occasional guitarist, is warm and pleasant to listen to. The staff takes pride in their work, and it shows.

I work in Clayton and unless it's one of those beautiful spring days when I bring my lunch to eat in the park, I eat out every day. I have so many choices in Clayton -- some really excellent options. But I keep returning to Potbelly because of the positive experience of the employees, the excellent food and...
