The Diamond Shop — Local services in Clayton

I happened to find the Diamond Shop after having lunch next door with a friend. About a month later, I was looking for a wedding band for my future husband. I called 5 major stores looking for a specific combination, with no luck. I remembered going in The Diamond Shop the month prior, and decided to give them a call. I came in store days later and was immediately greeted by warm smiles and a sweet, personal atmosphere. I was helped by a young, knowledgeable sales associate named Kyle. She helped me find a combination that would be extremely durable, due to my future hubb's occupation, and also the design he wanted. I took a few days to figure out what engraving I wanted, then I called Kyle back! They also had a wonderful Special going that ended up saving me a decent amount of money! She was quick to order the band and so so sweet! We got the ring ordered, and just SIX days later I woke up to a text from Kyle saying the ring came in! I picked it up that day, and it was absolutely perfect! The experience took such a great amount of stress away with such personable diamond specialists, and quick, satisfactory service. I will post my experience here. I purchased a ring here I still love! However the customer service I received after the purchase was made, not before the purchase was made was not good at all. I was told after my 1.700.00 purchase my ring would normally be sized free but not since I got it on sale. Mind you 1.700.00! So now Iv had a ring for a year that is to big and I have to wear a ring guard. I had to ask for the paperwork on the diamond it was not given to me freely. I was told before I left that an appraisal would be emailed to me a year later I still have not received anything. The ring itself is beautiful I will give them that. Even tho its still to big I still love it. It can be taken to any jewler and have them take care of the rest that the diamond shop refused to do for their own creation. Actually have been given many small jewlers names when people ask where I got my ring that was not sized upon purchase and they know the story and so do their friends. Word of mouth goes a long way! So just be leary if its on sale no matter how much you spend apparently they will not size it. And 1,700.00 is actually quite a chunk of money to be treated that way. But apparently...

After visiting a few other jewelry stores, I decided to give The Diamond Shop a try. I was looking for a Tacori ring and they are one of the few Tacori retailers in St. Louis so I had to visit. I was shopping for an engagement ring with no assistance from the fiance or anyone else so needless to say I needed some help and support.. As soon as I walked in, the owners Thom and Mona, and Jacki (who ended up helping me out) and the rest of the staff made me feel right at home. The service, the atmosphere, the knowledge, the honestly, it was all well beyond expectations and it made my engagement ring shopping experience as perfect as the ring I ended up purchasing. Jacki walked me through some options and gave me great suggestions and insight, and at no point even hinted at pressuring me to make any decisions. I can't say enough about how happy I am and how happy my fiance is with how everything turned out. I loved the people, loved the service and I'm still amazed and the how gorgeous the ring is.
