Shaw Park Treetop Playground — Attraction in Clayton

My two-year-old loves the place. Why wouldn't he - he's two!? There are 99 good things to say about this place. However, the 1 "issue" that I have is that some of the angled-brick-paver-garden-edging has made me a little nervous more than once while my toddler was running close by.

Again, while the majority of the playground is very safe and well maintained, falling onto one of these would practically guarantee a trip to the hospital - and they just so happen to be right where the small kid (aka:just learning to walk/run) playground...

I took my niece's there and they had a ball. Kids were there just being kids playing with each other. Black, White, Asian and Hispanic were all there PLAYING WITH EACH OTHER LIKE KIDS! Slides, swings musical instruments, climbing bars and a splash pad on the side. Gated and no pets (other than TRUE service dogs) allowed. Just kids being kids and adults being kids with them. Perhaps I visited on a bad day. There was trash all over the park. The children's playground had vomit and human feces. Why does there need to be stickers telling you not to sit at a seat on most of the tables? The kids loved the playground. Bring lunch and drinks because the young ones won't want to leave.
