The Applebee's Grill (Online Order/Curbside Edition). First, I want to say this was the most challenging online ordering experience. I ordered their chicken tenders plate that came with fries, and I added a caesar salad. I would have gotten an extra BBQ sauce, but it only allowed for an extra spicy ranch. After ordering, the instructions online informed me upon arriving to click a button to let a staff member know I am there. I ordered from the website, not from an app; therefore, I had no idea what button to push. After sitting at the curbside and looking for their number and finally getting them on the line, someone came out with my food.
The food was ok, but I did not get any ketchup with my fries, nor did I have the availability to select it during my online order. I think the whole presentation of my online ordering, from sitting curbside and finally eating, was ok. Nothing outstanding. I could have gone to many other places and got the same thing but faster and for less. Nevertheless, for me, Applebee's is one of my inexpensive college day meal favorites, so I'll be back but to...
Read moreBut for the unsanitary behavior of some of the bar staff, this could have been a 3 or 4 star review. Allow me to explain. I stopped in for a beer and an appetizer, and everything was going fine. The bartender was attentive, the beer was cold, and the spinach-artichoke dip was hot and delicious. But I was grossed out, AGAIN (see my review of Chris’s Drive-In), by staff eating in the serving area. This time, a patron, who I take to be a regular, brought in a giant bag of popcorn—outside food, but that’s another issue. She dumped it into a large goblet, and then I got to watch the bartender (a different one) shove handfuls of popcorn into his mouth, wipe his hand on his pants, and then mix someone a drink. A female server also ate popcorn by hand. To top it off, a manager sat there chatting with all of them while this was all going on, tacitly giving her approval. Think this through: do you want your bartender eating popcorn by holding his hand up against his mouth, repeatedly, and then making your drink? There is a reason that there is a health code prohibiting...
Read moreI ordered Applebee’s from Uber Eats and I always eat from here and I love their food and the service is great, but when I received my food… the salad was bad. I couldn’t even eat it and then the chocolate triple meltdown, which is normally hot and always amazing was absolutely stale and hard and disgusting and I tried to go on Uber Eats to see if they could give me a discount or something and they wouldn’t. I spent $70 for crap…
Update:
This is a Robo message from Applebee’s like every other company. They don’t generally take the time and care for their customers individually and I called Applebee’s and he said I’ll put your name on the list and when you come in to eat and dine, we’ll make sure your food is superb, but he should’ve offered me a free meal. I mean this is just wrong! The female manager that was before this guy was amazing and she took care of her customers. This guy is going to lose a lot of customers… I won’t be eating at Applebee’s. They...
