Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Clermont

We went out to eat there tonight since no one wanted to cook. It was my first time at this location, I’ve only just lived here a few months and this one is a little further from me, but we didn’t have the best experience at the other location we visited, and it reminded me of one we used to go to out in Pennsylvania kind of more out in countryside which was really cute. It had more of a homey feel to it as opposed to like a sports bar kind of place, granted it was at around 6pm on a Tuesday so the vibes could be different if it were later on a weekend. The host was very sweet she greeted us with a smile and was personable and brought us to our table quickly. Our waiter was FANTASTIC. I do not remember his name, but he described himself as the “short bald guy” he also had glasses. He was beyond fantastic. He was funny and you can tell he enjoyed talking to people. It was nice to have a waiter with so much personality and willingness to make sure the people he was helping got everything they needed and got all questions asked. He made many recommendations which I appreciated as it has also been a long time since I’ve been to Applebees in general. He was such a delight and a wonderful person to end my night being around! The rest of the staff we encountered while going to the restroom and leaving were also very sweet and friendly again something I haven’t seen in a while out in restaurants. This staff was some of the best I’ve seen and every single one of them deserve praise and recognition for their hard work and for keeping that smile on their face even when I know sometimes working in a customer service business it can be hard (trust me I really know I’ve been doing it for a decade it can get rough lol) I absolutely will be coming back to this Applebees again soon as the overall experience was beyond expectations! Firs off my waiter Shana was terrible with time management it took her 10 minutes to get a to go bowl and 2 fountain drinks. The menu was wrong with the prices the 4 cheese and bacon mac, and the cheesy broccoli were both 3.99 on the menu but we were charged 4.99 for both, we had 2 waitresses but 1 kept disappearing instead of help Shana the the to go stuf. Me and my family came in with high expectations and were disappointed when we left. They also need to learn that cheese isn’t flavor, the 4 cheese Mac and cheese barely had any flavor to it, the steaks were weirdly cooked 2 people had medium well and they were both cooked differently. It wasn’t too loud in the restaurant but I didn’t go to judge how good the restaurant is I went to get a meal and I was very disappointed with the outcome. We went from longhorns to Texas road house, then to applebees because of the wait time, I had a good feeling about it because last time I went it was good the inside was great and it wasn't too loud inside, but idk what happened in between from when I last went to now. If you’re planning on going to applebees don’t have high expectations, rather go to Zaxbys that’s very close to it, Zaxbys may be fast food but at least the food is good and the wait time won’t be as bad as it was in applebees. I also think they were in the back eating off the plates cause it was sure taking quite a bit time to get the stuff out. It took about 5+ minutes for a small cup of sour cream. Another waiter had to come and clean up our table because out waitresses(pural) wasn't bothering to clean the table when there were clearly empty dishes at the table. I’d give zero stars , I walk in say hello to host (older lady and the person with half red hair , gets completely ignore ) I brush it off and dismiss it on them focusing on an issue , they tell me I have a 10 min wait and I tell them okay I make sure to advise I need a table (due to booths being too tight for my plus size family members ) 20 mins go by and they take us to booth and I tried to explain ( I requested a table to accommodate my plus size family members) the person with half black half red pixie hair cuts me off mid sentence and starts to aggressively say go over she repeated it 3times, with a unpleasant attitude in from of a few other customers , I guess older lady notices her coworker hostile towards me and told her we are putting them here and she proceeded to fix table by herself the half red head person just stood their,at this point I’m over the customer service i received n tell my family I’m ready to go , she killed the vibe and made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome , she was very nasty towards us . We tried to ask for a manager and our waiter tells us ( this is why I don’t go out to eat on Fridays and was rude too telling me he basically didn’t want to hear from situation to discuss with management ) I was like wth something wrong with these people. , never did I get a chance to speak with manager , apparently they all need a refresher on providing good...
