You’re greeted right away upon entering wi the a warm smile and welcoming staff. Nice ambiance and good amount of seating. Clean bathrooms and lots of parking. Nice variety of menu items sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. We got the pork gyoza, chicken karage, edamame to start off everything was served together and fresh. Great starters very flavorful. For our main course we went with the birria ramen(add corn), tonkatsu with pork, kids ramen and rice with chicken. Our waitress Ellie was super helpful with aiding us with making our decisions and even went into depth explaining the spice levels and what might work for our tolerance. She knew her stuff and was super helpful and insightful. She was probably hands down one of the most attentive waitresses I’ve ever dealt with. She picked up on things most people would overlook or simply not care to ask. She definitely is a gem and makes the experience here worthwhile. The own was also very hospitable and welcoming. We noticed her running plates and helping out which is not seen very much. It’s a close knit environment and definitely worth the time to check it out. The restaurant was very clean and even the bathroom was taken care of and well stocked. Once the food arrived we didn’t do much talking it was flavorful and authentic and true to the ramen standards we all know and love. The broth was rich and had lots of depths of flavor and spices and the herbs were fresh and really made the dish. The servings were generous and definitely had everyone happy and satisfied. We finished off with the cheesecake and it was fluffy and sweet and all the things you could want/expect from a dessert. I have no complaints. The only thing I could say that it was a little warm inside but that could be due to the location sharing a wall with a laundromat. We live a good ways away but anytime we pass through clermont we will be sure to stop by and go again. You get 5 star service and 5 star food and there’s something really for everyone on the menu. Can’t wait to try again I...
Read moreMUST READ REVIEW! Let’s start with the good stuff, very friendly & fast service! Was estimated @20 minutes and it took maybe 10 for takeout. That’s all I can say good.. in terms of the food we got vegan ramen, birria ramen & spam musubi. All items where packaged beautifully & labeled well, very much appreciated that!
The vegan ramen- supposed to have tofu, corn, mushrooms, & bok Choy as well as I added an egg. I received a lot of very bland tofu with no salt or any flavor. A spoon full of corn & 2 pieces of bok choy, the added egg & no mushrooms. The ramen broth was flavorless and tasted like veggie broth from a box no added salt or seasoning just warm water.. the seasoned egg was okay nothing special & the noodles where all clumped together like they where just 99 cent ramen noodles from the store that where undercooked. over all 0/10 don’t recommend. prices @17$ 15$ base +2$ egg upgrade
The birria ramen- came with normal toppings & we added mushrooms. Again the broth tasted like beef broth out of the box with no seasoning. Was extremely spicy to an unbearable level but still no flavor? Noodles still very clumped together & Not much meat in this ramen aswell and the extra mushrooms we added was very lacking considering it was a 2$ upcharge. Over all 0/10 also don’t recommend. Prices-17$ 15$ base +2$ mushroom upgrade
Spam musubi- one order comes with 2 musubi, this was pretty good flavor was good and really enjoyed. But! 6$ for a fish that I could make @ home for 2$
Over all I really had high hopes for this restaurant as Clermont doesn’t have a lot of ramen spots or...
Read moreI read alot of positive reviews about this place so I had to give it a try after stopping at the new Costco (only about 10 min away). I wish there was a half star option to 3.5. I started with the Gyoza and the presentation was great. Crisp was spot on from the pan sear but I couldn’t help but notice that overwhelming char flavor (couldn’t figure it out at first). Then I got the TanTanmen and my wife got the TONKATSU with Black Garlic. While the broth was decent on both it was just ok when it comes to flavor. The pork broth was a little too oily for my taste (I know all TONKATSU is heavy but the separation of oil on the top and broth was overwhelming) and the TanTanmen just didn’t have that classic flavor and was 2/10 spicy. The noodle texture immediately signified that these aren’t fresh noodles and while this isn’t the worst ramen I have ever had but I expected more from all of the 5 star reviews. The staff was lovely so I suggest you give it a try but if you have had a lot of ramen in your life I would re-adjust the expectations before going in. The chashu was huge and the texture was great but I figured out what that bitter char flavor was coming from. I believe the chef is torching the pork too close giving the food that “gas” taste you get if it is not executed properly. I also had a Vietnamese coffee that was burned as well on flavor profile. Other items could be better and this could of just of been an off day. Their menu is extensive so your experience might depend on what you get. Also this is a small shop so there isn’t a ton of seating. Filled up...
