City & East Hookah Bar — Restaurant in Cleveland Heights

Good morning, I’ve been to this place multiple times.. The first couple times it was a vibe. Last night on the other hand I was disrespected by the bartenders. Me and my friends went to the bar to order drinks , the girls behind the bar had snobby attitudes, they never approached us to get our orders. One of the bartenders was making a drink and spilled it all over me ,and the counter and on the floor. I asked her “since you spilled a drink on me drink on you??” She was very rude and did not apologize to me so I asked her to get the manager!! The manager was very rude and had an attitude as well, he didn’t care that his employees were being rude to customers. He threatened to call the police on me and my friends.. we were not hostile at all..By him having an attitude it reflected on his employees.. We are human so if someone is being rude or giving me attitude I will bring that attention to the manager .. manager kicked me and my friends out for bringing it to his attention that his bartender spilled a drink on me , on top of not being customer friendly. I didn’t deserve to be kicked out because their bartenders didn’t have any customer service skills.. very disappointed in how me and my friends were treated last night. I will never come back!! I’m just going to invest in a hookah lounge in Cleveland and show them how to treat their customers !! The manager was nasty to women !! I don’t respect that!! Please get him in order because it’s people in this world that don’t allow men...

A WHOLE VIBE!!!! Not sure why this establishment would get anything less than 5 stars, but I can only go off my own experience here. Came from out of town to celebrate my birthday weekend and googled hookah lounges and went with this one after reading reviews. I’m glad I came. Everything was A+ for me. This place was a vibe. The atmosphere was safe, clean, lots of room, great hospitality, good hookah that pulled well, reasonably priced drinks that was not watered down, and the music was on point and had me dancing all night. They play hip hop and all the tunes you want to hear. I’m 35 so it can be hard to find mature spots that play decent music sometimes, especially because I enjoy music from the college days and 2000s when it was actually good music that you could jam to. Wasn’t sure if it was a dj or not but the mixture played was fantastic to me. Our server a gentleman bringing our drinks and hookah was great, wish I’d caught his name. He checked on us and made sure our hookahs stayed going perfectly. I recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice vibe that isn’t rough and you want to chill, have some good drinks, good hookah, and fire music. This is your place to go. It’s was $10 to get in if you’re not 21+. I had to be put on a waitlist because they didn’t have enough hookahs. I arrived at 10:30 and never was called on next for my spot of hookah. Luckily I was invited to someone’s section and got free hookah. So I guess it was a slight win. However the hookah was trash. I’ve had amazing hookah in my life and this has to be one of the worst and weakest ones I had. They played a variety of music but a lot of the songs were really old. If you’re from the south like me hospitality is everywhere from everyone. However this was not the case. It wasn’t the males who weren’t giving the hospitality but rather the females.
