Man, it’s good. I went here today with a friend right when it opened for lunch at 11:30am. We were the first there — but not for long — it filled up fast with such a range of people enjoying, laughing and having a great lunch.
My friend and I opted only for KBBQ. It’s all you can eat which sometimes can be intimidating for me but $20 in this economy for lunch — as long as I ate, I’d be getting my moneys worth.
We entered and enjoyed the futuristic feel. The tables are very tailored and pleasant. I will be bringing all my friends here for upcoming outings to ensure this place stays open. This was AMAZING.
The ordering style appeals to me as an introvert at first I wasn’t sure. A server comes by and takes initial drink orders and preferences and explains the QR code that leads to a menu that leads to ordering. It was a big menu on the app and one of us had to keep the pictures up but we ordered.
There is dipping sauce and some banchan sides open in at free for all bar. I liked this but felt it could have used a few more traditional options.
You should order lettuce and rice (it was not an extra charge) - if you are used to it coming with the sides, this is not that type of place. The service was speedy, courteous, and accurate. Everything you’d need. They carry coca-cola products and Diet Coke is the best beverage. They have a full bar as well and quite frankly an impressively priced cocktail list. I will be back at a more respectable hour and indulge.
We enjoyed everything we ordered! We primarily ate beef, calamari, and pork (I get weird about chicken) and ordered some mushrooms. There was only one item that I wasn’t thrilled about out of 15 and that was simply personal preference. I like the portions they do and the plating.
All in all, this was a great experience. My friend and I don’t get to see each other often and had a lot to catch up on and we were able to just TALK without overly aggressive waitstaff (which I understand might be encouraged to show they care but I can’t stand it!). I didn’t feel shamed when I needed a fork and I felt they took care of us safety wise (changing pan, etc). They give you a stick of butter to cook with.
I really loved this place and lunch and hope to be back multiple times. I am grateful it has come...
Read moreI have visited this place many times, and until yesterday, it was generally a positive experience. The food was good, and the service was adequate. However, my experience yesterday was disappointing. I made a reservation for 7 pm over the phone with a male employee. I even called twice to confirm the reservation because my family was traveling from Virginia to visit, and I wanted to make sure we’d have a place to eat upon their arrival.
When we arrived and spoke with the front desk, a young lady was unable to find our reservation in the system. I understand that mistakes happen, but when she asked the other employees, no one seemed to acknowledge making a reservation with me. It seemed as if they might have seated another group at our reserved table.
While I was speaking with the front desk attendant, a middle-aged woman kept interrupting, repeatedly saying “no reservation” in Mandarin. This was frustrating, as I had called twice to confirm my reservation. Her interruptions only made things worse. I was just trying to resolve the situation with the front desk attendant, who was attempting to help.
When I asked how they intended to handle the situation, I was told there was nothing they could do, and I could either wait or find somewhere else to eat bc there is really nothing she could do and she apologies for the situation and said it’s bad on their side. I tried to keep my temper, as I knew it wasn’t the fault of the front desk attendant; she was doing her best to assist. Eventually, she offered to split our group into two tables, but with a 40-minute wait, which I declined. Given the poor handling of this situation, I decided we didn’t want to dine there after all.
In summary, the management at this restaurant is poorly organized. Either the employees lied about knowing my reservation, or the individual I spoke with on the phone failed to communicate it. There is clearly a lack of communication among staff, and they don’t seem to have a system in place for handling reservations effectively. This is how you LOSE loyal customers. For those considering a reservation here, I strongly suggest getting the name of the employee who takes your reservation, so it can’t be...
Read moreI don’t even write reviews on restaurants because I don’t care but I’m furious. Absolutely disgraceful service. I booked a reservation for 9:45PM & their own system shows availability until 10:30 PM (I will post pictures below to show) and the restaurant hours clearly state they close at 11 PM. We drove 40 minutes to get there, only to be locked out of the restaurant like we weren’t even customers. After being let in, they pretended like they were going to seat us, then suddenly changed their mind once my boyfriend was outside and I let him in. Another couple with a reservation was locked outside with my boyfriend and I had to let them in, and the hostess told them they couldn’t be seated either.
Here’s where it gets worse: after we explained how far we drove and how the online booking system still allowed reservations, they told us no after having menus ready to take me to the table but since I let the other couple in they then say no. We left, only to see them turn around and seat that other couple they had just denied (crazy) while refusing us.
Completely unprofessional, dishonest, and rude. If you don’t want people booking after a certain time, fix your reservation system. Don’t waste people’s time, money, and effort just to treat them with zero respect. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had and we never even got to eat currently driving home hungry and mad.
Save yourself the trouble and take your business somewhere that actually...
