I couldn't see the restaurant when Google Maps said I was passing it, so I called the store. The man who answered said it was 'up the street' from the pizza place I said I was passing. I asked him what that meant and he said he meant 'up the hill'. I said okay and started to proceed up the hill. Then I realized he'd hung up on me abruptly, without my saying goodbye! Since I had already COME from up the hill, I needed more information than just that. Sure enough, I couldn't see it up the hill either.
I called him back and said 'Hi, I still can't find it. I wasn't done asking you where it was... I was gonna...' - he cut me off angrily and said 'Well look I don't know what to tell you! I told you its up the hill and I don't know what else to tell you! Ok? So that's it!'. I told him, 'I said nevermind I see you now!' which I'd been trying to tell him as he'd been yelling. 'Good!' he said and he hung up on me again. I was ENRAGED.
While he was yelling at me I'd finally seen the restaurant by noticing a tiny white sign low down at street level. All the other signs for the other businesses were nice and big high up where anyone could see them, but not this one. I almost didn't go in because I was so mad. I looked in the window and saw a man standing at the counter cleaning a waffle iron. I guess he was so busy doing this all-important task that he just didn't have time to help a customer with directions.
I wanted to leave but I had driven a very long way to try this place out so I figured I'd go in and hopefully not have to deal with the man on the phone. When I went in he had just gone into the back. I waited for a few minutes but he did not come back out to help me. I looked for a bell to ring for service but there was none. I had just told this man that I'd found his restaurant and was coming in, so surely he'd be right out to help me, I thought. I waited a couple more minutes but nothing. I finally had to walk around towards the back and call hello for him to come out and serve me.
At this point I wanted to take my waffle to go because I didn't want to stay in a place with such a rude staff. So I didn't want my sauce right on the waffle as I was afraid it would make it soggy by the time I got home. I asked him for it on the side. He refused. He said, 'No, I cannot put it on the side. We don't do things that way.'
After I finally got my waffle and was walking away, he told me I had gone back and forth about whether I wanted the sauce or not. That was the final straw. I told him I didn't go back and forth at all, that I had asked him to put it on the side and he'd refused. Then I asked him why he'd hung up on me and he said he had not. But I could tell he was the only person working in the shop, and I recognized his voice and accent, so he was clearly lying. Him not owning up to what he'd done and apologizing was the final insult.
This man is immature, arrogant, rude ah, nasty, and gives the worst customer service in the world. On top of all that, the waffle was way too dry and not nearly salty enough. Now I know why he insisted on dousing it with so much sauce. But even then I doubt it would be any good because it had no flavor and no salt. Do not go to this awful establishment unless you want to be treated like an annoying child who went into your big brother's room to pester him. This man, who I believe is the business owner, is...
Read moreI literally love it here🩷 I visit often, to the point where when my cousin and I come in Olivia already knows what we want. Olivia and the owner are the only two people I have ran across working in there and I have been coming for about 2 years. the owner isn’t quite the people person and I can say he does lack common and decent communication skills and customer service skill making him come off as snarky and rude. However, Olivia is such a doll and is the reason I come back. She always asks how I have been and tells us to come back in soon when she doesn’t see us in a long time. She is amazing at working and still holding conversation, she brings a warm and welcoming feel. She makes sure my friends and I receive our points for being loyal customers and she’s just very personable…if you haven’t been before she will give you recommendations.. she’s very patient when you aren’t sure what you want and never has a problem explaining the menu. The only thing I would like to see is permanent and consistent business hours and if not that a working phone just so people can call to inquire...
Read moreI went with my friend to get crepes. Placed our order and went to wait outside. 10 minutes goes by, my friend got called for her order, two more people walk in, place an order and walk out with their food. I waited 10 more minutes before walking in to see where my order was. As I walk in she is asking another couple that just walked in what they wanted and making it as they’re telling her. My crepe was sitting on the crepe maker this whole time. I waited 20 minutes for my food when my friend got hers and was done eating it by the time I got mine. The crepe was undercooked. The business has gone down hill, bad furniture and seating, bad paint, used to be much better when they first opened. Also don’t open on time got here once at 7:00 as stated, nobody showed...
