I will never eat at this location again. The reason being is on Friday November 1st my child was in the PICU . I was at the hospital all day and knew that I had to keep my strength up, so I went down stairs and ordered from this location. My order consisted of a locs an bagel sandwich and avocado toast. The locs and bagel was really good. but the avocado toast was horrible the avocado they put on my bread was brownish in color and was not fresh. When I bit into it my tongue sizzled and I knew this was not good avocado. I chalked it up and threw away the sandwich not knowing at this time that the avocado was not fresh but was in some kind of container. The manager divulged this information to me which I will get to. I later returned to this same location as I have not left the hospital and was stretching my legs, when I saw one of my favorite drinks in their cooler area. I purchased the drinks went about my day, not mentioning the avocado toast to anyone as I was looking to get anything for it and settled myself as lesson learned. My mind really was on my child and not food not being up to par. I later made my way back down to this location to get dinner and ordered the chili. Which the manager rang me out for. I say this because of what transpired not to long after this purchase. I got back to my child's room and set down to eat my dinner. My first bite was a shock to my palate as I was not expecting the chili to be as extremely spicy as it was. I have known chili to be hot but this was beyond that as it was like eating fire. I added my crackers thinking this would cool it down some but yet it was extremely hot. I decided to continue to eat this fire pit of hell along with using my drinks I had purchased earlier and my bottle water to cool my palate after each bite. I finally finished the chili and still need my mouth cooled down. I was talking to someone about how hot the chili was and they explained that they as well have encountered this with the chili and also made the decision never to purchase this again. I thought at this time maybe they are not aware of how hot the chili is and I cannot see myself letting someone else go through this experience unknowingly, so I ventured back downstairs to hopefully get them to change the wording on the chili description as I being in this place fully understood that families are here for many reasons and having an unpleasant experience is not one of them. I also foolishly thought that someone would actually care. When I first approached the gentleman who took my order I explained that the chili was extremely hot and also made mention about my earlier experience with the avocado toast. With a snicker he told me do you want to speak with the manager? I of course once again thought maybe he was not the right person to speak to so I stated yes. This is when the whole experience went from a consumer making somewhere aware of their product to a rude, disrespectful manager taking this concern to another level. When I explained my concerns to the manager she immediately became defensive and stated that she always tells people that the chili is spicy, which I stated this was not said to me and you rang me out. She stated did I take your order? So, now I am supposed to know that her care only goes if she actually took my order not if she rings up my order and takes my money. to...
Read moreThis place is located in the hospital cafeteria. My rating system is 1 star=terrible, 2 stars=poor, 3 stars=okay, 4 stars=good, 5 stars=great! I base this review on one experience only, so please take it into consideration accordingly. We bought 2 breakfast sandwiches consisting of a plain sesame seed topped bagel, with egg, Swiss cheese, and a generous portion of deli-sliced ham as the sandwich. I rate this as 3 stars because: the food itself was very simple and plain, yet extremely tasty. Wonderful flavor of bagel with egg, ham, and Swiss cheese. Staff member taking the order rushed me through the process while I was trying to look at the menu. I know they were in a hurry, but it was also stressful to feel like I wasn't allowed to take enough time to get what I would like. If you take more than five seconds to decide upon and state what you want, I recommend hanging back and trying to look through the menu ahead of time if possible to avoid being pressured and hastened by the person taking orders. They asked for a name for the order, which I gave, but when calling out orders that were ready to be picked up on the counter, they did not use my name. They gave me frustrated looks when I finally came forward to pick up the order after making sure I wasn't taking anyone else's food who may have ordered the same thing. It's unpleasant to have people working there roll their eyes at you and look at you in an unkind way. In short, the food was very good and the people working there were stressful to interact with. If people being stressful and rude do not bother you, and you know what you want to get ahead of time, it may very much be worth your while to...
