We ordered a salad with ribs, a 3-meat plate (with fries and mac), a brisket quesadilla, and three drinks — total came to about $60–$70.
The salad was decent, but unfortunately, the ribs that came with it were extremely dry, tough, and visually unappealing. It was disappointing, especially knowing what properly smoked ribs should look and feel like.
The 3-meat plate included brisket, chicken, and sausage. I personally enjoyed the sausage — it had good flavor and texture. However, the chicken was exceptionally dry, to the point of being difficult to eat. The brisket was also a letdown. Rather than slices, it came out as a pile of shredded, overcooked meat that completely fell apart. Brisket should hold its shape and be tender enough to bend, not collapse into mush. I actually had to use a spoon just to try it.
On the sides — the French fries were good. The mac and cheese had a strange texture: overly soft on top, but some of the pasta underneath seemed undercooked.
The BBQ sauce flavor wasn’t for me personally, but the kids didn’t seem to mind it.
Overall, it feels like the place survives more because of a lack of nearby options than because of food quality. With a bit more care in preparation and consistency, it could be much better. I’ll give them another shot in a few weeks. Maybe I just...
Read moreI went in a few months ago after ordering online for pickup. I would have normally picked up in drive thru but the car in front of me was taking a while. So I went inside since I was just picking up the order.
I go inside, tell the girl my name and what I ordered. She was going to give me my food (which i paid for already). But the guy at the window was like no because appearntly they had issues with people claiming to be door dash and just taking food.
But I told her my name and my order. How would I know what a random stranger have gotten, if it wasnt mine... but after saying that he truly didn't care. Whatever I had to go outside to get my phone or id to show him that I was in fact the person who ordered the food.
What's the point of just picking up ones food if it will still take 10 minutes for food thats already ready? Maybe list on the site- bring in your id or confirmation number when picking up.
I felt like it was rude and gave me a bad experience. Because he could have had handled it better, if a customer knows exactly what is in the bag and the name. I doubt they are there to steal it.
But happy I took my phone with me that day to prove my identity to take home my...
Read moreWasn't impressed. Ordered a two meat plate with chicken and sausage and the sides were potato salad and onion rings. The portions of meat were nice and the sausage was good but the chicken was nothing but chicken breast and dry. I did not try the brisket or ribs and probably should have? The potato salad tasted like it came out of a container from a local grocery store and the onion rings were obviously not made in house, (frozen and small). This is a complete self-serve place. Order and pay at the counter and retrieve your own condiments and plastic ware at the condiment bar. I do not recommend this place for older people with disability. There's a long hallway you have to walk down just to sit down. At first it looks wheelchair friendly but there is a small step before the ramp and the ramp had such an incline. I guess this place would be all right for a quick lunch if you ordered ahead and didn't stick around. I'm not sure if this was a dry area but there were no beer to enjoy with my barbecue. Not at all what you would expect for a...
