GREAT experience. Was not expecting the high quality of food and service from this little dinner (sad comment on service industry). I didnt know about them till i googled the menu and found it on the map. It is a small shop (compared to denny's or huttle house) and from what I saw very popular so don't want till the last minute. What staff was personable but always moving with purpose. I had specific questions that the staff couldn't really answer but within mins I was talking to the owner who not only knew his products, also knew the difference between his and competitors and could explain it.
Now for the food. Excellent is not a good enough word. The wife had the berry pancake nachos (yes it is a thing, look it up) with eggs. I had the BST (Bacon, spinach, tomato) omelet with talor ham. My wife is picky about her eggs and with a quick explanation the cook staff nailed it. And my omelet was perfection. Large portion, full of ingredients, not the least bit watery, and correctly garnished. With a cat head biscuits the size of Pluto.
Very competitive pricing and for being our first time we can not wait to go again. Follow them on their Facebook for their "daily" specials. This is now on our monthly rotation for...
Read moreI have to say the Little Diner was not the worst place I have eaten in Cleveland, as a matter of fact the food wasn't even bad (well except my extremely runny omelette) it just wasn't good either. Nothing really had any flavor to it at all, just very bland and plain. Almost no taste to it at all. My friend orders there breakfast special, which by the way is a great price. I think its eggs, pancakes and sausage and bacon. The sausage really just had no flavor to it at all. Everything else he had was fine, nothing special. I got the vegetable omelet, the veggies in it tasted pretty fresh but it was so absolutely runny if I had managed to eat it I would have needed a spoon. It was very bad. They pre make the home fries, again no taste at all. So they were cold. Service wasn't bad but it wasn't that good. The absolutely worst thing about the place though is that its exactly like the name "little" so you are cramped in there. There is barely enough room for your server to stand at your table to take of bring you your order and even less space to stand in line to pay your bill which they were pretty...
Read moreWent to have a good Saturday morning breakfast with my family. Got there to a very crowded restraunt, chair was constantly getting bumped as workers were getting around. We ordered our drinks. Then our food. As we waited I finished my coffee asked every worker that walked by for a refill the just kept going about their business. Got to the point I held my cup up in the air did me no good. Now my food is here. Ordered the special for my boys one with eggs scrambled well and the other over medium. Checked the scrambled eggs they were runny. So i Check the fried eggs, the white was runny on them. Tell the waiter she takes the plates walks to another worker and says "she doesn't want this food she is complaining about the eggs because they are a little runny" then I decided didn't want the order remade I didn't want anything I was leaving. She told me with rudeness.I had to pay for our drinks since we drank them. This was unacceptable to serve children under cooked eggs and act like I am in the wrong for...
