Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Clinton Township

Store is clean and seems efficiently run. Staff is polite and professional. Product quality is good. Why the missing star? Specifications matter. When the Spicy East Coast Italian first came out, I loved it. The last few times I’ve ordered it though, it was missing the taste of all the ingredients to make it special; I mostly just tasted mayonnaise. It was no longer a spicy East Coast, but a bland Midwest. I mentioned it to an employee, who was polite and directed me to the manager, who was also polite. The only reason I am writing this review is just to kind of reinforce my original point, and that is the items on the menu need to be made to specification, and if they’re not, people with discerning tastes will notice. I realize we’re just talking about subs here, but Jimmy John’s has always been a cut above the other shops. If it was Subway, I wouldn’t even bother, but this is a good brand and I want to see it stay great. I am retired and don’t have a lot of money to spend, so when I eat anywhere, I want the whole experience. If it’s just about food, I can do that myself. I want to order something from the menu and not have to give any special instructions. If I start doing that, I’m doing their job, and if I’m doing their job, I might as well be cooking for myself. I realize I’m a little bit pickier than the average customer, but I don’t think I’m wrong to hold a good restaurant to the standards that they themselves have set. The sub was great when they started making it, and I just want to see...

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone...I made a 5 sub order to be delivered and it cost me over $100 . Which is fine, my problem came when I opened my sub and it had mayo and dressing on it which I double checked and I ordered without, I could deal with the dressing but I'm allergic to mayo and when I called them I was told they wouldn't redeliver a new sub I had to come get it and I must bring my receipt with me because they claim to not have my order..and yes it was this location, I double checked that too...Then when I tried to explain what happened I was told just bring a reciept and hung up on...NEVER AGAIN!!!! You can keep the sub and my money just know I will tell anyone who asks me about this experience and to never use your location....I understand things get messed up but the way you handled this was ridiculous..you don't even...

It seems like everyone's problem with this Jimmy Johns is their delivery range and some how that reflects on their customer service but as someone who has regularly eats at this Jimmy Johns I would to go on record saying that the staff is almost always superb and kind. Despite what many of you think Jimmy's " freaky fast" M.O is simply based off that they don't have to cook anything, which does make it much faster then other deliveries. Even with the shorter delivery time if there is 14 orders to be delivered then that probably is why you had to wait 20 minutes for someone to get your sandwich to you.

Most of the reviews on here seem to be written by bias narcissists who only write these reviews after feeling like they've been insulted by the stores corporate dictated...
