Culver’s — Restaurant in Clinton

Went there this evening around 5 for supper with my daughter the young kid took our order which was 2 bacon butter delux burger baskets one with onion rings and one with cheese curds. Our total was 25 which i thought was a little high but thought it was up charge for the onion rings and cheese curds. The waitress brings us our food which were both double burgers i checked my receipt and thats why it was high we were charged for 2 bacon butter burger doubles(not what we ordered) my daughter takes the food to the counter where everyone there was rude as hell. She explained we didnt order doubles the young lady says we cant take the food back and my daughter says we ordered singles. The manager then steps in refunds her 12 dollars and then wants to charge her for two single burgers. Shes annoyed and shouts for me to come up as everyone working was being extremely rude. I get up there and the manager says to me we cant take this food back i said i understand that but its not what we ordered. Finally a lady in a neon vest who was running orders outside says to the manager just make them two singles thats what they ordered. I say thank you to that lady who was the only one there with any class or manners. Then to top it off the young lady grabs the tray of the wrong food shrugs her shoulders at my daughter and throws it away.we are brought are correct order minus my onion rings but at this point whatever. On April 3rd, 2023 I went into the Culver’s location in Clinton Iowa. I ordered two meals and added two concrete mixers. By the time I got to eat my concrete mixer, I was almost 18 miles away from the store. I took the first spoon full and all was good… then came the second one. I took the second bite and as I swallowed it, I felt what seemed like a chicken bone lodged in my throat… I was not able to cough it up, but did swallow it down. I tried to take another bite, and realized there was a chunk of plastic in the ice cream. It was a piece of a plastic lid. I looked closer and found several more! With a cut in my throat from what I can safely assume was a piece of the same plastic, I drove back to the store. I spoke with Lara Martin (manager), and she was very apologetic! She completely refunded my purchase price (I didn’t ask her to do that), and told me I would be getting a call from Faye Dyson (area manager) or Monica Kohl (general manager) to check in on me. Two days later, Lara called to see if I was ok, but to this date (one month later) I still have not heard from upper management! I incurred a bill from doctor on demand, and had to deal with a cut in my throat, yet upper management simply didn’t care enough to reach out to me. After waiting forever to get to the drive thru speaker, we were greeted with could you please wait.. then after another 5 minutes we were asked what we would like to order. Repeating our order 3 times, we were finally instructed to pull forward. We paid them asked again to pull forward to wait for our food. 3 cars pulled up afterwards, all in which received their order before ours. We didn't get anything special just burgers, fries and drinks for 2 people. We waited over 15 minutes to get our food. From the time we pulled in to getting our food over a half hour. I understand it's made to order but that was well in the window of time. After getting the long anticipated order a real disappointment. We haven't eaten at Culver's in awhile.
