Lucille's Roadhouse — Restaurant in Clinton

I hate leaving a bad review, but this was our experience. I can't speak for all of the wait staff, but the service at our table was the worst I have ever experienced.

The food was mediocre at best and the side of veggies was shameful. Considering all of the other sides appeared to have large portions, the veggies consisted of one small broccoli floret, 2 small cauliflower florets, 2 rubbery baby carrots.

Service was bad. In her defense we were a party of 11, but she took drink orders and brought them out 3 people at a time. Then we waited another 15 plus minutes for her to take our food order. While she took our order she stood at one end of the table focused on the parking lot. Seriously, she barely looked at us and people at the opposite end of the table couldn't hear or be heard. When we finally got our food one person never received anything, nobody received the specific dressings they ordered, and the few special items she brought out went to the one end of the table and she actually expected us to pass it down even though we didn't know whose items they were. Honestly I don't think she even knew. When we told her someone didn't get their food her response was, "I already brought that out." We did get refills. One. After everyone was finished eating she finally came to the table and asked if anyone wanted refills. That was the only courtesy visit to our table. Otherwise she only showed up to take orders or deliver food. All the whole NEVER asking if anyone needed anything. We had to stop her to make requests, which clearly upset her.

Needless to say, I won't be back. Sorry Lucille's, I know you aren't wholly responsible for your servers, but to me this is a clear...

So, I am actually sitting here at the restaurant while I write this. Been to the Luciles in Weatherford(just up the road) so I know this place can be pretty good. I sat her for 10 minutes, zero service with more staff than tables taken. The manager walked by my table 3 times just wondering around. I am sitting right next to the area the servers enter CCs. I finally got a server, total attitude. I am trying to order my food. Having a really hard time because she is playing the gotcha game with me about my order. Confuses me, misinforms me, then acts like I should know her job. I am confused. But whatever, lost in translation happens all the time. Maybe she is not doing it on purpose. It's the attitude though, good lord. I came her to enjoy something to eat. This will be the last time. If you want to experience Luciles the right way go a few miles up the road. Luciles is a great place when managed well.

PS - Edit to add more observation. The only two people doing most of the work are the two oldest women working here. The guy in the blue shirt walking around seems like a bouncer. Just walking around with 1000 yard look on his face. I will be handing the tip to the older lady doing...

After two days of Clinton all I can say if Good BYE, This is a rip off town. The hotels, the water park, the food. Lucilles has gotten the last dollar they will ever get from me. last night my ribs were cold, my daughters steak was well cooked on one side and seared on the other so it was bloody but tough. Amazing. Today a Cobb salad with three thin carrot coins, frozen and thawed cucumbers, no onion, 3 tomatoes and get this two slices of radishes. Lol Southwest egg rolls are just evil heartburn waiting to happen. I dont care if you just opened or running half staff, if you take my money you better be serving me food that I can eat, otherwise its theft. Luckily for this place they are next to a hotel so probably wont have the same customers that many times. Its sad this community had no good restaurant choices. Its worth your time and money to go to a real city. Last but jot least they forgot the forks and napkins for our to go order. You know why all this has happened? The people in this town have never had real food served properly, so how would the staff know: RUN! The containers they used for my salad cost more than all the food they...
