I was disappointed when I ordered from this restaurant for the first time. I had ordered a 16 piece family meal with 3 sides, 8 piece fish and 8 piece chicken. They had me park and then handed me my food. When I got home I had all chicken and only two sides. I guess they had handed me someone else's order who had the same thing but still they had forgot a side. I couldn't drive back with the food because I had already started serving my children the food before I noticed my order was wrong and I was missing a side. Also I live 30 minutes from this location. When I called, the person I talked to, her name was Liz. She told me to come back with the receipt anytime and that it didn't have an expiration date. So I went 3 weeks later and they try to tell me it had already been 30 days which it wasn't and they weren't sure about replacing my order. Finally the manager came and said they'd replace my order. While I was there I ordered a 8 piece family meal with only chicken. When my order was up the manager was only trying to replace the fish that they forgot and a side. I told him that it was for a replacement for the whole meal. He gave me problems and still only gave me 2 sides with my order and to top of off he was only trying to give me 8 hush puppies for the order I placed while I was there. I made sure I looked at my order before I left. The service and treatment from the employees was ridiculous! I would not recommend this location to anyone else or plan...

I went to LJS for my lunch with my sister and grandkids. We ordered our food and everything was good. We sat down after getting our drinks only to see other people who came in at least 2 to 5 minuets after us all getting their food. I didn't think much at first because I had ordered the cod which I know takes a bit longer. Then about 15 minuets later I asked if they forgot about me. She said my order was next and about a minuet or so later she called my number. I was not happy at this time and I commented to my sister that the cod was probably burnt by now. Sure enough it was. I took my food and commented "I knew it was going to be burnt" to the girl that gave me the food. As I turn away with my food my sister said the girl made a face and turned around. I ate the cod from the inside because I was short on time. The girl that took my order brought another better cooked cod but we were about to leave so my sister took it. I didn't feel comfortable eating it. I never return food to a cook. I only let them know at the end of my meal how unpleasant or bad the food or service is. The reason being, I don't want that to happen to...

I'm shocked by some of the complaints about customer service. I've visited this place three times in the past couple months...And the service was far better than I expected! Friendly, courteous speech, smiles....Eager to please....If I have had any need or concern they went out of their way to take care of us. The ONLY reason I'm writing this review is because how impressed I was with the people that work there! In and Out Burger usually has excellent customer service....And occasionally, Weinerschnitzel does a good job. But my experience at this LJS surpasses them all.

As far as food goes, it's been very good. Fried foods generally have to be made fresh to get the biggest bang for your buck....So you may want to ask that they "make it fresh". This is probably necessary when it comes to the waffle fries - sometimes they aren't particularly as fresh as they could be. My advice: Try the fried Cod! A little expensive...But it's worth the price.
