I realized that different Robertito locations are better than others. Specifically, I like the way some of them fry up their tortillas. You could tell they were freshly fried. When they are, they're so crispy & yummy. I used to go to the one on Blackstone, close to Gettysburg, I think, but then I moved to Clovis. Finally, found the one in Old Town on Clovis Avenue, close to Oil Changers, that did the tortillas just right. Unfortunately, I think they must've changed cooks or something because they're not good anymore. I've tried to give them chance after chance after chance because, even when they were good, they'd have an "off" day once in a while. But now, it's EVERY time. Unfortunately, not just the tortillas that are sometimes stale, but, for example, the chicken isn't always tasty & like last night, the quesadilla didn't even have hardly any cheese in it (what's a quesadilla without cheese?). My daughter asked for extra cheese in her tacos, too, but there wasn't much in them! They charge for the extra cheese, too, so we really weren't happy!
Update: Tried to give them another chance. Picture shows their taco salad they gave me with a burnt shell! Took another star away. So disappointing.☹ Couldn't even eat it! It's usually one of the best parts of the salad. Seriously, you would think they'd throw it away instead of serving it...

However.. today's visit to "this location" of Robertito's missed the mark big time
Beginning with entering the establishment We were not greeted as far as I know .. there was nothing said to us like "Hello" or "Welcome in to Robertito's" .. kiss my arms .. the young man said something, but I still don't recall what it was ..
I asked if water from there solar dispensing machine was filtered and the young man said "yeah we have water"
I Ask if they're fish was cod or it was fish sticks He said "it's frozen" but would not go back and show me the fish but I ordered it anyway and it was not Baja style It was cheap little burnt fish sticks with lots of mayonnaise and cabbage & tomatoes.. not good
My mother chose the 4 Taquito dinner with guacamole, beans and rice for $9 .. not to nit pick but really not a fair price ..
The beans were runny A rather stingy portion of shredded beef in three of the roll tacos and very little shredded beef in the fourth rolled taco .. the tortillas looked as if they were not just hours old but many hours old ... topped off with about a Tbsp & a half of guacamole.. for $9 ??
Probably won't be...
Read moreExtremely upset. So both Robertitos and Arsenio are alike, but I wanted to find out once and for a all which is better on the chili rellano burrito. Well when I got to Robertitos tonight I noticed through the window a can of Rosarita refried beans and sure enough that’s what I got, I know the flavor very well. Second my rellano was just the chili itself and was not complete with the egg, and they forget the red sauce they normally put in the burrito. At Arsenio’s they had the rellano complete with egg and all and it was cooked enough to bite easily, they put the red sauce with pico de gallo, and guacamole which made the burrito delicious. Robertitos in Clovis across from Froster Freeze on Clovis Ave is not good or even trying to be authentic fast Mexican food,...
