I've been eating at Super Burger for a few years now. I've basically made my way through the menu. Until today, the food and service have always been good. My 83 year old mother has a fondness for the fried chicken. Because of her age, her appetite is super small, but she will eat all her chicken. I ordered through Clover and was only going to get the 4 pieces of chicken, but then I decided to just do the meal so she could have the salad, and I wanted zucchini sticks. I added the meal and took off the pieces of chicken. When I picked up the order and got home, it was chicken strips. I called the restaurant, and I was met with, "NO, YOU ORDERED THAT!" I have the receipt. Quickly, I thought about it and realized, yup, I did. The girl on the phone asked the manager if they would remake it, and thankfully, I was told yes. When I got there, I tried to apologize to the manager and explain what happened, but she was too busy searching my bag to make sure I brought everything back and didn't even acknowledge my apology. So, I mentioned how I also asked for no pickles on the salad, but it has them. Yes, that's noted on that same receipt you have. She snatched the bag off the counter and walked away. I just stood there. Without looking at me, she said "10 minutes," so I waited. When it's done, she looks at me and says, "Chicken dinner." Again, I said thank you because even with her attitude, I was appreciative. she could've said no to remaking it because it was genuinely my mistake, but again, she just walked away. When I got home to feed mom, I was so mad that I almost went right back. I have never had our food look like this. Everything was burnt. They took the same zucchini sticks and refried them, making them hard. The chicken was obviously an old order they re-fried or piece that didn't make the normal cut and they were also overcooked and burnt and dry. So much so, you couldn't even taste the normal sweetness of the chicken. Even the toast was dry without butter. Luckily, the salad Mas without pickles, so mom had something to eat because the rest of the meal went in the trash. Basically, I paid $17 for a cup of salad. I understand, people have bad days but she was just rude and unprofessional. This is exactly why people are scared to complain about the food because they think the employees are going to do something to it on return. I also realize, one customer doesn't break a business but this will be my last time at...
Read moreOn my way to clovis community hospital to relieve my father of his duty of watching over & the tending of my mother who's currently undergoing her 3rd round of chemo in her battle of "Diffused Enlarge B Cell Lymphoma" which is an extremely aggressive form of lymphoma, when I decided to bring him lunch, to sprinkle some sunshine on what was slated to be a rather abysmal day. I stopped by his favorite burger joint "Super Burger" and promptly requested his favorite burger "Double Bacon Burger Combo", as soon as it was completed, I eagerly grabbed the white paper bag & happily paid the $26 fee for My Pop's burger, My Burger and a strawberry lemonade, and off to the hospital I go, as i scampered in delight. Now, imagine the sense of pride I had seeing my Father standing sentry over the love of his life, whom he calls his "Lil Lady"..My Mom. I Swear he could've been torn frim the pages of Camelot as 1 of King Arthur's knights of the round table, when I hear my sister whisper under her breath "Once a Marine, Always a Marine!" All of this was instantly taken away by the lady who answered the phone and decided to play the "i can't hear you your phone is going out." Game to be Followed by a quick and inconsiderate response of...... dialtone. PS: That Shyt didnt contain the following ingredients of: Bacons, Tomatoes, Any Types of Sauce(Dat sukka was dry!!), and no condiments either, it was made with 2 bottom buns, the to-go box(clamshell) didnt have the tab in order for it to stay closed, no utensils ie: napkins, wet wipes, paper towel not...
Read moreI lived nearby for years and always loved this place. I moved, but I still go at least once a week when I'm in the area, either for dinner or just ice cream. The food has always been great, as is the ice cream. But the service...just not what it used to be at all.
Did they get new management and staff? The main gal who is there Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings is NOT friendly. She seems to have an issue with me for whatever reason. I often order a dipped cone and lately she just thrusts the cone at me, without any napkins. I always ask for them to put it upside down in a cup so it doesn't melt everywhere. Other employees seem happy to do it. This gal glares at me and dumps the cone in the cup without giving me a spoon. If I request any additional things like spoons, napkins, sauce, etc, she acts annoyed. One of the older employees who is a super friendly gal would always put real cherries in my shake and make sure it had lots of chunks of cherries. Now I'm told (by the unfriendly woman) that management "doesn't allow that" and is only supposed to use cherry syrup. I'd literally pay extra for the fruit, but they refuse to do it.
There used to be a small town hospitality feeling at this place, but not anymore. I will continue to go because the food is great, but dealing with their new staff...
