Food is good, mostly. Service has never been good up until this past Sunday when it became even worse. One of the worst service experiences at a restaurant. We go there often, but this was definitely the last visit. We arrived at 4:05 Sunday afternoon. I think there might have been two other tables occupied. We were seated right away. Chips and salsa brought out pretty quickly. Order taken within a couple of minutes after that. That was the last we saw of our waitress until she brought us the check and we were there over an hour. Food was brought out at a reasonable time and we were done eating within 15 minutes. After over 45 minutes of being completely ignored, I raised my hand and flagged down a waiter that was looking at us because he clearly saw we were agitated, he nodded at me, said something to our waitress, she still didn't come to our table. She was too busy chit-chatting with a party of four that was leaving. She was literally standing there with a tray full of drinks in her hand talking to them for over 10 minutes. That was clearly more important. I eventually had to get up to go to the bar area to tell that same waiter what horrible service we were experiencing and we needed our waitress so we could get the hell out of there. After several more minutes, that same waiter, not our waitress, came and apologized saying they were busy and brought us to go boxes so we could take the remainder of our food. Our waitress finally showed up saying how busy she was and brought us our check. Then, when I saw I was charged the wrong price for my combination plate, two cheese enchiladas with one bean tostada, I pointed it out to her even showing her on the menu what I should have been charged, and she began arguing with me as though I misunderstood the pricing. I was clearly mischarged and it was finally fixed on the tab. Needless to say, no tip and again, will never return. They started getting busy a few minutes before we left. So what was their excuse for the hour prior while we were being completely ignored? And the reason I say the food is good, mostly, is because the last two times the cheese enchiladas I ordered were so dry being that they barely had any enchilada sauce on them. I needed enchilada sauce brought to the table to be able to enjoy them for this visit there, but because no one ever came back to our table, I had to eat one that was just awful. I finally got some enchilada sauce from the waiter, that wasn't our normal waiter, so I could put some on the enchilada I was taking home. Lost some good customers but clearlybthis establishment doesn't care due to the poor service we...
Read moreThe owners & staff are wonderful, they treat their customers like family. The food comes fast made to authentic perfection. If your having a special occasion they make sure you feel special. Try anything on the menu I can guarantee you will find their food amazing no matter what you order. The tacos rancheros are amazing. They are not fried or heated, the shell is toasted on a grill with a slight crunch & toast as if grilled over an open fire. Ask for their yellow squeeze Chilli to add to your tacos for that extra flavor. I have never had Chilli rellenos like the ones they make. I like the crunchy ones they have that special crunch taste & not soggy taste like many chilly rellenos do. If you like seafood the hot plate large shrimp vegetable with chicken is so good even if it is a little pricey. The shrimp are grilled over open fire with added vegetables & any kind of extra meat you want. Or you can just order it alone with shrimp or alone with another meat. They bring with this hot plate rice beans & tortillas of your choice. Enjoy this place like I do once a week trying all their authentic dishes. Don't be afraid to ask your server to exchange or add on to your plate to your satisfaction something you want to eat while ordering. They like when you ask questions about the...
Read moreMy recent visit to Hacienda Tequilas was a delightful surprise. We arrived late one evening, initially planning to dine at a different restaurant. However, due to an exceptionally long wait and subpar service elsewhere, we decided to try Hacienda. This decision turned out to be a stroke of luck. From the moment we walked in, the service was nothing short of amazing. The server greeted us promptly, taking our orders efficiently. What really stood out was how they immediately brought out chips and bean dip, a thoughtful gesture that was much appreciated by my hungry niece and nephew.
The food at Hacienda Tequilas was a highlight. It arrived quickly, and every dish was flavorful and fresh. My burrito, in particular, was a feast in itself - generously loaded and absolutely delicious. The staff consistently checked on us, ensuring our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. My entire family left satisfied with their meals. I’m a regular during lunch hours, drawn by their excellent lunch specials and the swift service that makes it an ideal spot in Clovis. Whether you have limited time or a leisurely afternoon, Hacienda Tequilas is definitely a top choice for a...
