I came here so excited to get a shawarma sandwich because i have been living out of state for 6 years. I walked in and was greeted by three awkward stares from employees, but I was so determined to get my chicken shawarma, so i ordered and verbally expressed how I had been looking forward to this. The employee that took my order just stood there silently. Didn't upsell me on anything, even I wanted more that I was going to get some hummus and pita but their attitude really started to get to me, so I just added a drink. Then, I paid and waited right there for my cup, and they literally stood there and stared at me awkwardly. I asked and they were like confused and very slowly were like oh.... yeah.... here..... but like I infringed on their lives. I got my shawarma quick enough, but it was like a small burrito. Then i just got this dry, nasty bite of stale pita, there was hardly any garlic sauce (probably my favorite part), and the tomatoes were so unripe they were literally inedible, and the chicken wasn't hardly warm and had the texture I could only describe as styrofoam or wood chips, it was so old and dry, it crumbled like saw dust. I understand why you see people lose it and throw food back at employees, I was so disappointed. My best friend and I used to visit all the time and their chicken was thick, juicy chunks of hot chicken and amazing fresh, ripe tomatoes and the garlic sauce would be oozing out. This place is a joke. It was like an awkward doctor's office waiting room, nothing great. In desperate need of revamping or just shut it down now i know why it was practically empty when everywhere...
Read moreBroilers (especially on Willow & Herndon) has gone downhill. This is not once, twice, or 3 times that I have tried to give it another shot and it just seems to get worse and worse. Not only with the increase in charge (as everywhere) but they are charging more for less. Shy of $11 for a half salad which probably doesn’t even equal to 2 cups of lettuce and definitely not even a 2 oz of chicken. The “portions and weight” I was told is up to the owners direction. It is very sad to see how the quality of salad has diminished; I have been a long time Broilers fan, and have seen the original portions vs.now (my daughter worked there many years ago). Today, was the day I totally forgot that this location was not my fav but I have been reminded once again. I stopped in quickly for a salad to take to my boyfriend who has COVID, and a salad for myself. I get home and again, missing both dressings for both salads. My half salad was a huge disappointment. I called to let them know (which I don’t usually do) and of course it’s attitude and advised I could go back to get the dressings. I don’t know about you, but once I’m home the last thing I want to do is get back in my car to drive back to get something that should have been in the bag in the 1st place. The only Broilers I will continue to go to in the future is the Palm & Herndon location. They tend to still try to keep up their standards of a decent salad. But if you want more and better quality for what you pay for … try Kabob City instead. They at least give you a decent amount without gauging you for 20 pieces...
Read moreI've eaten here well over 200 times in my life. Tonight, I ordered 1 full salad, 1 half salad, and 2 chicken and rice bowls for my family, to go. I took it home, and when I opened it, they had forgotten all 4 pitas. Pretty annoying since now I had to figure out and make extra sides for dinner, which defeated the whole purpose of picking up dinner.
I was literally the only person in the restaurant when I ordered, so it was solely due to carelessness. Whatever, it happens. The real annoyance starts when I call and ask for a partial refund. The girl who I talked to on the phone was the one who packed my order, and knew she had forgotten them. She took my name and number and said next time I came in I'd get 4 free pitas. I told her I don't want that, because if I come in again to eat, I'm not going to want to eat 4 extra pitas on top of the food I'm already there to buy, so I wanted a partial refund. Seems like a simple, common sense thing.
I would've been happy with a $10 refund on the $50 meal, although personally, if it were my restaurant, I'd comp at least half of it for the inconvenience of forgetting something major that is included in basically every single meal sold. She said she had to call her boss and would call me back. No surprise, I never heard back. I'm not going to waste my time tracking people down. It's 2025, what a joke you can't just make things right instantly (I still had the receipt/transaction #/etc.) Simply pathetic policies and customer service, especially towards someone who has spent MANY thousands of dollars there...
